I'm a bm in a friend's wedding this weekend, and I still need to buy accessories for the dress. What do you suggest jewelry wise for this dress. My dress color is Canary yellow.

I would do a pendant and big earrings. Maybe in a contrasting color? I never wear yellow so I'm not sure if gold or silver would be the better choice!

That dress is beautiful! Do you know what the bridesmaids gifts are? Many times they'll give you jewelry.... but I'd hope she would tell you first so you don't go out and buy new jewelry for the dress. Have fun at the wedding!

@mrs. wagon: Do you have a visual example you can provide? I'm not a girly girl so accessorizing/outfit planning isn't my forte.
@artbee: The bride already said she would not be gifting us jewelry. I think she's giving us wallets.

@Alivoo01: well this is what I would do... either I would find a pair of chandelier earrings that I liked and matched a simple pendant with it, or I would just go with a pearl strand and simple pearl earrings. Also depends on how you're gonna do your hair and how fancy the wedding is. I usually like to go fancy since bridesmaid dresses are usually simple.
Come to think of it, I'm having trouble figuring out whether gold or silver would go best with yellow, so pearls might be the better choice!

if you're not a necklace person, you could go with big earrings:

and a fun bracelet:

I would either go with (1) a pendant/necklace and smallish earrings combo, or (2) large earrings and a bracelet combo. That way, you look put together, but not over-accessorized.
It is our ability to accessorize that separates us from the animals. (one of my favorite quotes ever, from Steel Magnolias).

I love bare necks with these kinds of dresses, so I would do a dramatic drop earring and a chunky bracelet. Or if you want a necklace, I would do a statement with simple earrings. I love gold and yellow, but I would cehck to see what the other bridesmaids/or bride have a preference:

@JessieJo17: That's exactly what I did for my wedding - dramatic drop earrings and a large bracelet. I loved the idea of leaving my collar bones and decolletage bare.

I vote for earrings and a bracelet. I love strapless dresses with no necklace. I love that earrings and bracelet Mrs Wagon linked up.

I'd do chandelier earrings and statement bracelet. Maybe, depending on your hair a statement hair clip as well?

@MsLipGloss: I did too! My mom thought I was crazy but then realized I was right when it all came together

I would skip the necklace and just wear big earrings--something dangly!

I would do dramatic drop earrings and a bracelet in turquoise. Would look so gorgeous against the yellow dress. I found a few pics to show you the color combo:

I agree...skip the necklace!

Thanks ladies for all you're help! I agree with no necklace. I'll be on the hunt for big dangly/chandelier earrings and a statement bracelet.
@banana: I love the turquoise combo!!

Have you looked at Kendra Scott's Danielle and Elle earrings? I just wore a pair of the Elles in mother of pearl with a light gray dress that had a cross over neckline in the front. Super bonus is that they're affordable, not too heavy and can be worn casually too!
