Those appear to be canker sores or tiny ulcers in the mouth. Perhaps due to nursing. Most canker sores are due to a weakened immune system, food allergies, bodily stress (similar to the catalyst for a cold sore on the outer lip), , viruses and bacteria, poor nutrition, medications, and injury to the mouth. In this case, the rubbing of the mother's nipple (or pacifier) during feeding to the baby's palate may have caused an ulceration which could have created a tiny canker which has become inflamed. In any case, since the infant can not gargle or use OTC medications, a trip to the pediatrician is probably warranted. Best of luck and congratulations to the new mama!

Are they white and firm? If so then likely Epstein pearls - common and benign. If they are more like blisters then baby should get checked out by a doc.
