About someone's mil wanting to open a savings account and wanting the ss # and what everyone said to say if it made you uncomfortable giving out the number. I don't want to give out that info, but I'm not sure if it's required.

I didn't look at the thread, but we just opened a savings account for DD & they needed her ss#. DH is the custodian on the account and set it up for her. Who would be the custodian of the account? Can you set it up and just let them use deposit slips as needed?
