I'm going to pack LO's bags this weekend for when they stay with my parents while I'm at the hospital (delivering #3). Other than clothes, I kind of wanted to make it special - put in a few new books maybe and a note from DH and I to each of them. Also, maybe a gift for their new sister when they visit at the hospital?
Any ideas of what I can pack? Any good books that will make the transition easier? What type of gift can they give her?!

Awww!! Well clothes, loveys, favorite pillows. I like the books idea. Maybe amazon a big sis book for E?
Could you ask them what they would like to give n? They might have some cute ideas! And they'll probably be psyched to give it is it's their idea

@HLK208: there are lots of apps you can download tO make it extra fun. You could use book creator to make a book about bringing baby home.

@HLK208: did you have lots of false labor with B or E? My two friends had false labor for weeks and both delivered within 2 hours of their real labor starting. They said it was fast and painful but much better than laboring for hours at the hospital. They both said recovery was way better too. Sooooo excited for you!

@sandy: eeek! I didn't really have it with B or E! A few contractions here and there but nothing like this - so I'm sure I have a few more weeks to go but hopefully it's a quick labor!

I just thought I would comment in case anyone else searches for ideas in the future.
We ended up doing a recordable book that talks about how much we love them. I think E will be excited to hear our voices when we're away. I wrapped it for them and it's ready to go. Cheesy but it's sentimental!

@HLK208: Did you figure out gifts for them to give to the baby? I was thinking that would be fun to do for L when she comes to see us at the hospital, but can't think of what... I got a stuffed puppy for Sister that L could bring to give her, but then I think L would just want to keep it for herself... haha!

@swurlygurl: I took them to a toy store and told them they could pick out one small gift for N, so B ended up picking out a rattle (which I explained she wouldn't use right away) and E picked out a small stuffed, pink bear. E helped wrap the gifts so I think she gets it! I'm sure she'll end up taking the pink bear once the gift has been opened though lol.
