Recently a drapes guy came over to the house and he suggested we go lighter in the wall color. We have to repaint the public rooms and planned to go a bit darker than a neutral we currently have.

The house doesn't get much light. We painted it a lighter color to begin with because it felt like a cave with a bronzey color when we first purchased. I had some second thoughts on the lighter color I chose, but it has a yellow tint. The drape guy who has been in interior design for ages said if we go lighter basically cream the walls will not compete with the furniture for attention.

The first color is what the walls are now. The second color is on the same paint chip as the first-its darker. The third color is the darker of the two creams the drapes guy suggested. What do you think?

Also the ceiling, crown molding, and base boats are a stark white. We have textured walls if that makes a difference.
