I'm bringing a pumpkin pie, but I need a second dessert idea that is not pumpkin for the (crazy) few family members who aren't a fan. I have no idea what to make, so please throw some ideas at me! Our dinner is this coming weekend (I'm in Canada) and I'm feeling lost.

My mom always makes gooey cake every Thanksgiving. It's a sticky, chocolate mess that is awesome. This is a good recipe (I don't use nuts in mine):

I am a big fan of pecan pie and apple always goes over well. Maybe turtle bars or cookies would be a good choice too.

These are always a hit for us. I actually get requests for this... it's labor intensive though... making the dough and pushing into the pan... but it's an easy dough recipe and over easy to make.

I'm usually in charge of desserts, and in addition to pumpkin pie, I make a pecan pie and Pioneer Woman's Nantucket cranberry pie. I'd recommend the latter - really easy, affordable ingredients, and delicious leftovers for breakfast the next day

Our family makes sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin and some type of apple dessert. Over the weekend I made an apple crostata. Other apple desserts are pie, crumb cake, turnovers, and apple crisp. @Nskillet: that apple dessert sounds amazing.

I've made cheesecake the last few years- an apple crumble cheesecake! Pretty easy, and YUMMY!

Pecan or chocolate pie or even peanut butter pie. Mmmm. The last is super easy, you dont even have to bake it.

I normally make an apple-pear-cranberry pie to go along side pumpkin desserts. King Arthur flour website has a great recipe.

Brownies? Perhaps not a traditional thanksgiving dessert, but they are usually a popular choice.

I make Pioneer Woman's key lime pie but with a store bought graham cracker crust and a canister of thick whipped cream. So good and easy!

@sarah.clarisse: Oh, yes! That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw the title of this thread! I love apples, cranberries and pears, and crumbles are the easiest dishes to make.
ETA: You said pie, which also sounds equally delicious... I was on a crumble kick, but my previous statement about fall fruits and berries stands.

super easy. easier than regular cheesecake b/c you cut them up, so it's ok if the tops crack/get ugly

I made cranberry curd bars one Thanksgiving and now the host asks for them every year! We drive over an hour for our Thanksgiving gathering and they travel well.
They are a lot of steps but they are delicious. I usually make them with a graham cracker crust instead of the walnut shortbread crust.
