My 21 month-old son is awesome and generally easy-going. He's a late talker, so communication can be difficult if I can't guess what's going on. For the last week or so, he has totally flipped out if I wear a sweatshirt/jacket/robe/blanket. This has never been a problem before. The second I put something on, he starts crying and fighting to get it off me. He seems legitimately scared, or I'd just tell him to tough it out. He will not clearly answer questions about it, either while I'm wearing the offending article, or afterward.
Here's what I don't think it is:
1. Occasionally he does it to my mom or DH, so I don't think it's about the boobs (and he hasn't nursed in two months).
2. I don't think it's because he thinks I'm leaving. I always tell him I'm staying, and he also doesn't get this worked up when I actually am leaving, either.
So bees, any ideas? Both why this could be happening and/or (more importantly) how we might work towards it not happening? (I live in a cold climate and fall just started, so not wearing jackets is not an option...)
