I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but I've been working on our holiday cards, so it's been on my mind. We're doing a "Top 10 of 2015" theme in our cards and I had hoped to make a pregnancy announcement the No. 1.

We have one LO, and we've been TTC for a year for a second baby. I've had two miscarriages, one at six weeks and one at nine weeks.

I've been hoping that we could get pregnant this fall and then announce the pregnancy in our holiday cards. But if we get pregnant this cycle (I know that's a big "if"), I'd only be five or six weeks pregnant when I ordered the cards, and probably around seven weeks when we mailed them.

My DH thinks it's not a good idea, since it would be a particularly memorable and painful let down if I miscarried again. He thinks we shouldn't tell anyone until 12 weeks, after the holidays. He might be right. What do you think?

If it matters, we only send holiday cards to close family and friends (around 15 households).
