"Holiday Miracle" POAS December

Daily symptom spotting update from India...

Today I definitely had some sharp very pointed crampy pains like straight in the middle of my pelvic area. They only last 20-30 mins...

The test in my suitcase is taunting me...I am committed to holding out until Monday (10DPO) however it is going to be SO hard to do so in this hotel room all weekend with the damn thing taunting me. Thankfully I have shopping in the markets here to distract me....

BFN again, boo. AF may come today, so I guess I will wait to test until she is good and late if she doesn't come! I can't look at anymore of those singleton little pink lines.

@Mrs. J: same here, BFN, and I've started having cramps. Trying to think of fun things like NYE drinks to get mind off of BFP Christmas thoughts

@Mrs D: stay strong! remember there's only one test in that suitcase

I'm out for this month :(. I stopped responding to the Clomid and my cycle has been cancelled for this month. I meet with the RE on Wednesday to come up with a new plan of action.

@Mrs D: 10 days is still early, you wouldn't want to waste it before then since your symptoms are sounding so promising! But if you do, I'm sure ppl in India pee on sticks too & you'd be able to find one

@runnerd: I can't decide if I wanna test for Christmas or not! I mean I want to, but I don't know if I could see a BFP and spend the day with my mom & not spill!

@MrsCB: I'm so sorry! How disappointing. hope they come up with a sticky baby plan ASAP! Maybe a valentines BFP, that would be the best valentine DH could ever get! Hugs!

@runnerd: @mrs. bird: I held out okay today, distracted myself by shopping and got these awesome pearls - I put my wedding band next to them to give some sort of size comparison: (sorry if the picture if huge I have no idea how to resize)

@Mrs D: Maybe I am missing something, but does India not sell pregnancy tests? Just curious. Hold out until at least 10DPO!

@Leialou: Im sorry.... enjoy a good glass of wine or something

@mrs. bird: We had to spend Christmas with my husbands family and not tell and it was tough but we made it through even when they were joking about "when are you going to have kids".

@MrsCB: @Leialou: sorry ladies! the standard december comfort - at least NYE drinks will be allowed!

@Thehistoryofus: if DH was with me the whole time, i feel like i'd be okay, but he's working 3-11pm christmas eve and then 3-11pm christmas day. we stay at my parents' house on christmas eve, so there would be a lot of me without him time for me to have to keep my mouth shut for!

    @Mrs D: beautiful!

You can officially roll me over - AF showed up yesterday. On the upside, my past 3 cycles have been 29, 30 and 30 days so I think my body is finally starting to regulate itself since coming off BC last summer.

Now on to January! Our next prime-BD days happen to be when I'm away with DH for a NYE ski trip to Whistler, which I'm also excited about.

Good luck to the rest of you!!! Lots of baby dust for you all!!

@MrsCB: @Leialou: @char54: @marionberry: sorry about your disappointments this month. Wishing you all the sparkly baby dust I can as you BD over the holiday season!

AFM, 15dp suspected o and no AF. I'm not testing. Too scared to after last time. My longest LP was 17 days so I might test tomorrow morning but I wonder whether I should just wait until I'm good and late.

Question: if my cycle was just annovulatory, at what CD would you guys look at inducing a period if it didn't arrive?

I finally O'd on Thursday, so please move me back to POAS 12/27

  18. Mrs D

    grapefruit / 4545 posts

@Thehistoryofus: Well, I am sure they do sell tests here, however I am here for work and we aren't supposed to leave the hotel without our driver and alone so I'd have a co-worker with me...which might be a little (or a lot) weird. They have all (men) been on my case already b/c I am not drinking much so I dont want to add more fuel to the fire....

  19. Mrs D

    grapefruit / 4545 posts

    @runnerd: @mrs. bird: Thanks!

@Leialou: I am hoping to have them set as a pair of earrings and pendant. I kind of have visions of having the tops (the pointy part of the tear drop shape) capped in pave diamonds...I will have to save a bit before I can afford that custom setting...

16 dp suspected o and a BFN over here. Have decided that if AF isn't here by Wednesday then I will go to the doctor for a precautionary blood test and provera (or whatever it is in NZ). I want the chance to try again!

Yesterday I was so tired. I slept for most at least half the day. I know it's super early but I was sorta convinced it was because I might be pregnant. Haha. I googled it and it's pretty impossible to have pregnancy symptoms at 2DPO.

So....I decided not to POAS this morning...I'm going to hold out and test tomorrow before I leave for the journey home...I've felt pretty normal these last two days so I'm not sure I am feeling too confident on the result...

@SweetMamaM: has this happened to you before? What is your experience? I'm lost!

  31. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

@Mrs squirreld: never happened to me either and I was gearing up to O mid November but was going away without DH so stopped tracking. Now? I feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind. Had some of my standard O signals on the 1st and have been BDing with hubby but test last Thurs and today were both BFN. Of course it has to be right near Christmas, I need to decide soon if I want to see my family doc or not! My longest cycle before this was 35. I'm currently CD 51!

  33. avivoca

@Mrs squirreld: I've had some extremely long cycles (89, 90 days). My husband works out of town a lot during the summer for bat season, and some years my body just shuts down while he's gone. This past cycle was kind of wonky as well, I thought I had O'd, but it turned out to just be an attempt and I finally O'd last Thursday/Friday. I hope we get pregnant soon, because from past experience, this is gearing up to be one of those summer's/six month period where I only have three periods.

@MrsCastro looks like you can count me in for another POAS 12/31!

After last month's wacky cycle due to travel I wasn't sure how quickly it would go back to my normal, but I bought a digital OPK and tested for the first time this morning (12dpo) with a smiley face! I'm kinda nervous that we missed the window since my temp dipped yesterday and I had some EWCM but we didn't get a chance to BD (really wishing I would have done the OPK yesterday, too...). We did BD on Saturday morning though and definitely will tonight so I think that should put me at POAS on New Year's Eve!

    How are you ladies doing?

AFM, I test yesterday at 9DPO and BFN...i hope its still too early, i have been an emotional mess the last three days...i can pretty much start crying at the drop of a hat...i am hoping that is a "bfp sign" but not keeping my hope up...i think i might wait to test on wednesday again...we will see what happens...

@MrsCastro: Sorry to hear about your BFN, but it is still early! I hope your emotions are a direct result of pregnancy hormones and you get a BFP soon!!

@MrsCastro: Hey lovely! Don't get discouraged!! I tested last week at 9 dpo with a BFN. I tested yesterday morning (14 dpo) and got a BFP. Keeping my fingers crossed for you BFP!

@MrsCastro: I have been just like that the past few days. Period still isn't here, but I'm 99% it'll show up tomorrow right on schedule. Yet, I keep finding forums that keep my hope alive. There is always someone somewhere who got a BFP in the same circumstances. It's frustrating cause I just need to let it go.

Here's to hoping you are able to distract yourself and have a nice next few days! Harder said than done tho! Still so early tho, so good sign!
