"Holiday Miracle" POAS December

    @Ash: That is so hard. I had a friend who was due three days before our baby was supposed to be due. It was really hard seeing her go through the whole experience and to go to the shower and stuff, and now to see her with her 6 month old little guy. But she tried for years to get pregnant, so it's not like I was upset she was pregnant, I was just sad I wasn't anymore...

    @SweetMamaM: So sorry you're going through this. I had a similar cycle a couple cycles ago. My AF finally came on like cycle day 58. I hope you get some closure on this cycle either way soon.

    @fussygal: don't take notes, symptom spotting is an illness

    @runnerd: @fussygal I agree, with my bfn today I'm wondering whether I am actually ill. My stomach is not right, aye.

    @Sweetmamam @runnerd True...on one hand the TWW is good in that I'm more in tune with my body than ever, but that constant "listening" to my body can drive me nuts, too!

    Roll me over I started spotting today, so AF should be here soon. I didn't even cry this time. I'm getting used to disappointment I suppose. I said I would start charting temps next cycle if this one was unsuccessful, but I’m wondering if I should try the opposite and stop charting completely. So many people say they got pregnant after they stopped trying, but I don’t think I can force my brain to stop thinking about it!

    @sweetmamam: you and I are in the same boat...got a BFN this morning but I think I ovulated when you did...think being the operative term. I guess I just keep waiting and see if AF shows up

    Checking in from India. Got here last night and am exhausted...

    Anyways...my symptom spotting started today as I started having some mild cramps (7DPO), we'll see how long they last and if any other symptoms pop up.

    Thankfully my POAS urges are controlled by the fact that I only brough one PG test with me - so I definitely need to hold out until Monday (11DPO).

    Fingers crossed for all you girls who will be testing in the next few days!

    @Colee: Is it heavy spotting?? I got a BFP at 8dpo, but I also spotted a little for a few days starting at around 11dpo. If I hadn't tested early, I probably would've thought I was out!

    @JamieLee: I'm sorry. It's so hard and it truly sucks! But you're right. I wasn't upset she is pregnant... I'm sad for myself... that I'm not anymore. When she posted her announcement on facebook she even used the same idea we wanted to use to tell our parents. It killed me.

    @Colee: I spotted for a few days when I got my bfp. I only tested cuz AF never came full swing!! Don't rollover til she's here! Good luck!

    @Mrs D: Oooooooooooo! Good luck!!

    Okay ladies, I'm 6 dpo today and have NO symptoms whatsoever. Yesterday I felt totally exhausted and almost fell aslelep at my desk (unusual for me) and days 1-5 I had mild cramps. I know usually symptoms don't start until you implant so I am really hoping I get some symptoms soon!!

    How is everyone else in the TWW feeling?

  11. mlm2934

    grapefruit / 4311 posts

    @Modern Daisy: exactly! Any symptoms before 6 DPO are prolly totally unrelated, so sounds like you are still good

    i had some symptoms, then weird cramps 6-7, now nothing at all at 9 DPO. Feel 100%! Kind of has me down - so messed up to be sad about feeling good haha

  12. MapleMoose

    Apparently FF isn't quite sure about my actual O day, so as of today I could be 4dpo or 6dpo. Not too far off but that feels like centuries apart in the TWW lol.

    @fussygal: Thanks girl!

  13. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

    @Mrs. J: fingers crossed for you hun... Sounds like we are in exactly the same boat.

    AFM, no testing today. Was pretty upset with the BFN yesterday so don't need that two days in a row. Will hold out until Sunday/Monday to test again, then may consult my acupuncturist to see what the next step is if Aunt Flo hasn't arrived. Symptoms at around 8am 13dp suspected O are ongoing rumbly tummy, big heavy boobs and the fact I had to get up twice in the night to go to the loo... I usually don't have to go at all.

    @runnerd: Haha, I hear ya. Isn't it ironic how we start yearning for bad symptoms and feeling bummed out when we actually feel good?

    Ok someone talk me off the ledge? On my sore boobs thread someone said they checked their test a couple hrs later and saw a line and ended up being pregnant. So I just grabbed my test from yesterday and there is a faint pink line. I don't want to get more tests though if it's still going to be negative. It's just a evap line right?

  19. MrsCastro

    persimmon / 1491 posts

    @anonysquire: post a pic...

    is the line pink/blue?

    @anonysquire: let's see a pic! Is the line grayish? My friend had an evap line once, but it wasn't pink.

    Updating my POAS date since I have to wait 15 days to test. Any sooner and I might get a false positive because of the Trigger shot and IUI. Ugh, first time I have to actually wait.

    Trying to keep distracted in this TWW.

    New POAS date: Dec 28. Maybe a nice way to ring in the New Year?

    @bluestriped bee: Thats a great POAS date. Not before Christmas so there won't be any disappointment if its a BFN, but before the New Year so you know whether or not you can celebrate!

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

    @anonysquire: What DPO is that test from?

    There is a good chance its just an evap line, but obviously test again and maybe have a digital ready incase you get another faint line.

    grapefruit / 4311 posts

    @bluestriped bee: it's nice that you have a concrete reason that will keep you from early POAS gooood luck!!

  32. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

    @anonysquire: I can see it, but don't get too excited just yet! If it was a blue line I would tell you it was absolutely an evap/false positive (happened to me), but pinks are much better about that stuff.

    AFM, I'm having a really frustrating cycle. I've been doing Clomid and not responding as well as they would like. I took 100mg, then when that didn't work I moved up to 150mg. Finally today, at CD21 I have 1 follicle over 10mm. I'm still waiting to hear from the nurse, and the ultrasound tech didn't go into specifics, so IDK how far over 10mm I am.

    2 days ago I had nothing over 10, so I'm guessing I have one around 12mm. If it's anything like last month I'll keep having to go back for ultrasound and blood work every other day until I get to 17 or 18mm, so maybe I'll finally be able to trigger in 4 or 5 days.

    grapefruit / 4187 posts

    @MrsCB: I hear you on the frustration. I was started out on 50mg and they 'think' I ovulated (Hurricane Sandy hit so I wasn't monitored beyond seeing one follie at 13 and I got a positive OPK a few days later). Then the next cycle they still kept me on 50 and had to step me up to 100 after I was barely responding. It's frustrating because it takes so much extra time and makes my cycles waay longer.

  34. Modern Daisy

    grapefruit / 4187 posts

    @anonysquire: Try holding it directly under a light and snapping a photo. I learned this trick recently when I took an OPK at work and had to email the photo to my DH to confirm the positive result!

    I'm having mental breakdowns, just started crying b/c I forgot my key to gym at home. Today is not a good TWW day!!

    @runnerd: Oh no! I hope your emotions are a direct result of pregnancy hormones and you get a BFP soon. What dpo are you?

    I'm at 7 dpo and second day in a row with zero symptoms. Last night I had a vivid pregnancy dream though. I was a surrogate for my DH's brother and his wife, which didn't really make sense since they are the most fertile couple ever.

    i wasn't going to join this POAS thread since i haven't O'ed in forever, but mrs. bird laid an egg today! so this weekend it's on! not sure home i'm going to be able to get into this after the terrible news today, but seeing as how this never happens, we'll just have to find a way. i guess christmas eve will be 10DPO, i'm sure i'll start P'ingOAS before the full 2wks are up, but for now i'll say my POAS date is the 28th, with hopes of a BFP before that!! = )
