@bluestriped bee: Gosh! Very exciting news for you. Best of luck! I think I will be secretly slightly jealous if you have twins, I've always had a fascination with having them!

@thismustbetheplace: awww hun I'm sorry to hear that you are out. I'm a bit terrified of being in the same boat here.

So yesterday I didn't test at 10dp estimated o as I was meeting up with a friend who had failed IVF and didn't want to know. It worked out well because she's taken my advice and gone to see my acupuncturist - hopefully things work out well for her - so there was a lot of baby talk and I don't know that I could have kept it from her.
DH and I went out to dinner last night with a friend and I continued to have an embarrassing amount of thirst - drank about five glasses of water (on top of the 3 litres I drank yesterday) and had to get up from the table to go to the bathroom twice. Combine that with an attack of the sore bosom last night and it was a fight not to test this morning!
Today's excuse - DH and I are not going to see each other until super-late this evening so if it's positive, I won't get the chance to tell him. If it's negative, I won't feel like socialising this afternoon at this farewell get-together for a friend. It's just easier not to know.
It's getting harder to justify my excuses though! Who would have thought that I'd want to pee on something so badly?

Work has been so crazy, so I've had to ban myself from getting lost on here!
Congrats to all the new BFPs! So exciting--a H/H nine months to you!
I am totally symptom spotting like crazy, but I am trying to hold out until the weekend to POAS. I've been so nauseous, headaches, bloating, I feel like my temp is up now, cramping, thirsty beyond thirsty, etc. We'll see what happens!
I keep telling myself that I won't be disappointed if it's not this month because we wanted a mid fall baby (worked out with maternity leave to include xmas break etc), it's our first month, but who am I kidding? I'll still be bummed!

Just have to say that now that we're TTC, my horrendous menstrual cramps hurt even worse. It's like mother nature's cruel joke! Womppp. Rollovers let's start of 2013 right!

TTC Cycle: 2nd
Ovulation Day; Anywhere between 12/12 and 12/14
POAS; 12/27
Trying anything new this cycle;green tea, mucinex and OPKs...also putting much less stress on myself and DH. trying to have fun with it!

@Mrs. J: we were the same, timing actually works out much better for us if it's next month but I'll be definitely disappointed if I'm not this month!
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
@SweetMamaM: @Mrs. J: Ditto! This month was our first cycle and was "for fun, to see what happens". Ideally we would get pregnant next cycle, as we have a ski vacation planned and the fall works better for my mat leave.
That being said, I have grown quite attached the idea of getting KU this cycle and will be a bit sad if AF shows her ugly face tomorrow as scheduled!!

Question for all you POAS pros:
FF says my period is due tomorrow, but that's just going by average cycle length (28). Since I've been off the pill, my cycles have been 28, 25, 29 and 30 days. So realistically, AF could come tomorrow (28 days), Thursday (29), Friday (30) (or even later??)
I've taken 2 tests and they've both been negative - the latest one I took was Saturday morning. I have 1 FRER and 2 digitals left... when should I test next? Realistically, if I was pregnant, would I get a positive by now?
Wondering if I should POAS tomorrow morning and if it's a negative then know I'm pretty much out for the month...

@char54: I'm no POAS pro, but it seems like most people get their positive between 10-12 DPO

@KJfromNJ: I agree. Thi AF sucks and it makes me have fiver even more!

I'm laying in bed at 9am, I feel a little crappy, but I'm not tired. Just would rather go to sleep than spend another 2 hours worrying about whether I have any TWW symptoms!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@char54: Do you know what DPO you are?
ETA: FRERs are super sensitive. I think by 12-13 DPO you'd have a positive for sure on one of those.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
So I really don't know what dpo I am, but I am testing 12/22. So 11 days. Ok I guess that would put me at 3dpo. Anyways I have had almost a week of sore boobs and headaches (I never have headaches!?) and yesterday I slept 10 hrs and was still so tired and today I slept 9 hrs and could have slept 1000 more. Oh and I woke up so nauseous. I am hoping these are good signs!!!
Good luck everyone! I am totally symptom spotting like every month

@char54: I'd test Friday if I were you. If that's been your longest cycle I think you would be alright.
pear / 1743 posts
@anonysquire: why so late? What CD are you? That sounds like some promising symptoms.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
You can go ahead and roll me over- AF isn't here yet but I decided to take a FRER this morning - stark white so I'm sure this wasn't our month. On the plus side, I can go on our ski trip in a few weeks. On to January!!
Good luck ladies, I'll be hoping for LOTS OF BFPs for you all...I will be thread stalking!!
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@MrsCastro: I tested Dec 8th and got a negative. So I am trying to wait!
@SweetMamaM: I'm CD 24 with long cycles.

Gearing up to O... not sure exact date yet but hubs is away this weekend hoping between tonight, friday afternoon, and sunday night we time it right - fingers crossed.

Alright @MrsCastro: you can finally roll me over! My first 35 day cycle has come to an end. Thank goodness.
Good luck ladies!
@runnerd: Hope you get your bfp!!!
@anonysquire: 11 days is sooooooooo far away. test.test.test!

@Ash: I decided I will test Monday the 17th! I think my sore boobs have been going on for a week but everyone keeps telling me it's from ovulating so I don't want to see another BFN.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
@Ash: Lol no not at all. If I knew when I actually ovulated it would be easier to test early. I am just sick of seeing all the negatives so I gotta try and wait
