I was planning on making honey cinnamon sweet potatoes tonight. Is it okay to let LO eat some? The honey is cooked in the oven

I thought honey was forbidden b/c of allergens...I wouldn't think those would cook off?

@tororojo: not allergens - it's because of risk of botulism. A rare, but fatal disease for infants.
I don't even give it in cooked items and I give my LO everything else (including most high-allergen foods)... but the risk of a deadly disease - no thank you. I don't toy with that!
I DO plan to give him a cake for his FIRST birthday that has honey it in.

It's not allergens, it's botulinum toxin. I don't give it cooked or not before age 1 because of spores.

I'm going to cook them a different way. I should have trusted my hesitancy :). Thanks all!
