Thanks, ladies! I was trying to wait until Saturday, but I woke up at 3am to pee and was like, let's just do this. I am thrilled and my husband is happy, but so cautious. He says he will feel better about things once we have our first doctors appointment, but that is how he felt with LO #1, too.

@travellingbee: Thanks! And to answer your question, I am in my 30's! I had LO #1 at 30 and am now 33. Like you, I got pregnant on the first try last time so it's been a bit tougher having to wait a few cycles this time. Which cycle is this for you?

@meredithNYC: congrats!!!!!!!!!!! What a fab line!

@travellingbee: I'm 34! Had my son at 32. Took us about 8 months to conceive so I'm mentally prepared for a similar timeline this go 'round!

@meredithNYC: Just my 2nd so I am trying to be patient and am just trying to be realistic. It might not happen right away. How many cycles did it take you this time?

  17. meredithNYC

    pomegranate / 3314 posts

@travellingbee: My third. For the first 2, I wasn't charting and I didn't have great luck with the CBE OPKs. This cycle I ended up charting, using Conceive Plus and kind of obsessively using the Babi OPKs. Around the time I thought I would O I tested 3 times a day.

@meredithNYC: Good to know. We had great timing this cycle but no dice. Hopefully it will happen in the next couple of months for us, too! I am going to start using conceive plus this cycle.
@hellobeeboston: I'm trying to prepare myself as well. But if it doesn't happen in the next three months we may need to put it on hold for a year because of work timing. I don't know how I feel about that since time is ticking... So I guess all that is making me more anxious. I hope it happens quickly for you this time!

    clementine / 912 posts

@travellingbee: I know what you mean about work timing. I'm a teacher so it would be best to have a baby in late spring, early summer to get the summer off with LO. If it doesn't happen in the next few cycles, we might be waiting for a while.

  20. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@JennyG: yes I'm a teacher as well, but my hours are kind of funny (sort of part time) so I wouldn't qualify for FMLA. If I don't have a baby in the late spring or summer, I would only get to be home for six weeks with the baby. I just don't think I can do it.

  21. JennyG

    clementine / 912 posts

@travellingbee: I would be able to take up to a year unpaid (which we couldn't do), but we can use sick time. Since I used it all up with DS, I currently only have 15 days. Basically, I'm in the same boat that I couldn't take more than 6-8 weeks so I'm praying it would be extended by summer.

@SeptMomma12: I had IB at 8DPO and BFP on frer at 10 DPO. My wondfo was negative until 11DPO. Good luck.

@littlek: I did, against all better judgment - BFN. Still have the nausea and some spotting (lighter than yesterday). So if implantation happened yesterday, maybe it's too early? Who knows! Will test again on Sunday at 12dpo.

@meredithNYC: Congrats!!! This board needed some good news
