@travellingbee: He says it is a lot of money to spend when they are often inaccurate and women mistakenly BD only when they "think" they are ovulating.

@MissLace: I had excellent success lengthening my LP using Femaprin (Vitex + B6). It only took 2 months to get a 14 day LP. Now I am starting Clomid, so no more Femaprin for me.
Good luck!

@travellingbee: I know what you mean about timing as well
If we don't get a BFP this coming week, we are waiting until next late Spring to try again due to my husbands teaching job! Figured a April or March baby would be perfect for my time off to run into his summer time off! Would be lovely if it worked out like that!

@meredithNYC: CONGRATS!! So glad for another BFP here! Its been a slow month!

Looks like I'm out. Spotting seems to be turning to AF and got another BFN today at 11 dpo. Not at all surprised considering we only hit O-4 and O-5 days, but kinda confused why AF came so early this month. Good luck to all the ladies left to test this month!!!

@misslace @bigskygirl I have the same problem Long cycles but like 8-9 day luteal phase. This cycle I am starting B6 as soon as I O and hope that will help. It sucks though! Last cycle I didn't ovulate until CD 26, and that was earlier than my other cycles. I went off my BCP in March so I guess things are still getting regulated.
It's really hard though knowing that I MIGHT be getting pregnant but I'll never know because my LP is too short to support it

Joining in later then most, but here it goes!

@MrsADS: yeah i hear ya, i O'd on CD23 this cycle. Although i went to CVS and GNC today and have a nice little pill cocktail ready for next cycle. I am now taking...
-Prenatal (was already taking)
-extra Folic Acid (was already taking)
-Vitamin C
-Vitex
-B Complex
-Evening Primrose Oil
-Coconut Oil
I'm contemplating getting some progesterone cream, and some pre-seed. Can you tell i'm antsy to get this show on the road...haha

Ok, finally got a flashing smiley face yesterday. It was flashing again today. Does that mean I should ovulate on Tuesday?
nectarine / 2465 posts
@Jone0603: Welcome!
@MissLace: B Complex usually does it for a lot of people, good luck!
@JennyG: Not necessarily, I've gotten 3 days of flashing smileys before, I think I've seen other people get way more - like 5+ days. Also, you will not ovulate until you get a solid smily, and even then it will 12-36 hrs after.

@MissLace: I did the same thing when my AF came this cycle! My LP has been maxing out at ten days, so after our third failure in a row last week (with really good BD timing), I bought pre-seed and added a B-complex vitamin to my regimen. I was already taking a pre-natal and Vitamin C. I'm going to keep the rest of your vitamins in the back of my mind if this isn't enough to help with cycle four. Hopefully it works!
nectarine / 2262 posts
@misslace I am just now starting the B6 - I heard that in addition to lengthening the LP, it can delay ovulation which is the last thing I need (already not ovulating till CD 26 or later). So hopefully by starting it post-O it will help lengthen the LP but not delay O.
We'll see... did you take yours the whole cycle??
apricot / 311 posts
@MrsADS: i'm only planning on taking the B-complex post-O as well. And the Evening primrose oil from CD1 though my first positive opk, then switching to the B.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@MrsADS: I've been taking b-complex the whole cycle(past2) and hadn't affected my ovulation so far... Maybe it depends how much you're taking too.

Confession- I bought a "Big Brother" tee shirt for LO on sale at Old Navy this afternoon. nothing like counting my chickens before they hatch!! But it was so cheap....

Tomorrow is my day! I got a BFN last week at 10 DPO and will be POAS tomorrow again at 15DPO (cycle day 34)! AF didn't show her face today, so we'll see how it goes. I've been having pretty consistent 33 day cycles until last month when it was 36 so AF still may show up by Wednesday if its a BFN again

did i miss messages from @hoots: and @Mrschickpea:? Any updates, ladies?
@travellingbee: it's happening this month, i can feel it!
@MissLace: sorry to hear

@SeptMomma12: I'm sorry best wishes for next cycle!
@mrschickpea: good luck tomorrow!!!
@MissLace: I'm sorry!!
So I think I ovulated yesterday?....I had a negative OPK on Friday, tested twice on Sat and it was a positive OPK (smiley face), and then it was negative again on Sunday. Does that mean I probably O'd on Sunday? We BD'd Thurs, Sat, and Sun so hopefully we had good timing! Not sure if I have the energy to tonight, came down with a little cold yesterday and feel all stuffed up...boo!

My cycle finally ended!! woo hoo!! But that means I will be POAS in September. Good luck to the ladies that still have to POAS this month , I hope I don't see you on the September board!!
Now I just have to make sure I keep up on taking my temp everyday!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@NovBaby1112: sounds like good timing!
@MrsBrewer: yay!! for September!
@Bookish: yeah I've looked at some online before and chickened out but I was there, it was on sale, the only one left and it was in DS's size! How could I not?! I saved the receipt in case it just doesn't happen.
grape / 94 posts
@raspberries: I was wondering the same thing! I jumped the gun on my POAS date (8/14) and got a BFN 10DPO this morning. More irritated I wasted a test than anything
Anxious to see what tomorrow's temp looks like. I'm leaving for Las Vegas on Friday for a girls trip and wondering if I'll be able to enjoy cocktails with my friends or fake some weird illness to explain why I'm not drinking!
Looking forward to some exciting updates!

@loki: No updates, sadly. I'm still in limbo right now. No detectable thermal shift this month. Waiting for the call back from the ob/gyn to see what she wants to do. Most likely I'll have to POAnotherS for her before she calls in the Provera.

Huh. So I had a poas date set for the beginning of August, and my period came after an 8 day LP. I have been ho humming waiting for the next (late as usual) ovulation but because I loves me some poas, I randomly did an ovulation test today on CD 8 and it was blazingly positive. My last cycle I ovulated on CD 23! So we bded today, but obviously not the kind of bd schedule I am looking for! And is there any type of problem associated with super early ovulation? I am sure it's because I went from bfing LO constantly on vacay back to her being in daycare during the day and not bfing at all. But still. This is a very unexpected development. I guess I would poas around the 22nd?

I'm out ladies, AF showed this morning before I was going to test! So unless it turns into a wonky AF, I won't be testing and will assume to be out this month! We were NTNP and have decided to wait until early next spring to go again due to timing issues. Good luck to everyone with BFP's and baby dust to everyone else!

@Rockies11: Have you taken a HPT? HcG can also cause positive ov tests...
persimmon / 1363 posts
@theotherstark: I haven't but I am just coming off a full period with totally normal flow, so I would be beyond shocked if I was pregnant!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@Rockies11: Ah, gotcha! Hm, I haven't heard of early ovulation causing issues. I actually think I have heard of a fair amount of women who got pregnant when they unexpectedly ovulated early. So hopefully this means good things for you! I would BD again today and tomorrow, just to cover bases.
persimmon / 1363 posts
@theotherstark: yeah I was thinking of getting some extra bd in! The ov test was still aggressively positive this morning, so I am thinking we will just do it every day until it goes negative? And it's so weird to think I could have a test date in August twice in one month. So strange, and so not how I thought this cycle was going to go! I was expecting ovulation around day 19 at the earliest!
