For the holidays, I always give Sephora ones along with a Philosophy gift set. Sephora gift cards come in compacts and the Philosophy stuff is pre-packaged too, so minimal prep on my part!

At the end of the year, we gave out gift cards to a coffee place near the school. I put the gift cards in mugs, then tied tags to the mugs with pretty ribbon.
