Hubs did a homebrew yesterday, and his pot boiled over. He proceeded to let it just boil and cook into the stove top for another 2-3 hours. The first picture is the immediate aftermath. The second picture is where I stand now - a thin layer of cooked-on nastiness. I've tried Formula 409, Method, a scratch-free scrubber, Weiman's gas stovetop heavy duty degreaser, and the ice scraper from my car (not even kidding). Anyone have any tips to share? I'm afraid my stove is ruined.
