DS is 11w and is generally a great sleeper. He usually sleeps 12 hours from 10pm-10am and wakes 2x to feed. This hasn't been too much of a problem so far since I've been at home and like the later wake up times. However, I go back to work next Monday so I'm worried that he's going to lose out on a lot of sleep as I'll need to wake him at 7am in order to feed, dress, and get him to daycare on time. I've been wondering how to get him to have an earlier bed time. Ideally, I would love for him to go to bed at 7 pm and sleep until 7 am.

I don't know if this is normal for his age or if I just have a night owl. My mom seems to think that an earlier bedtime will happen organically with time. Maybe daycare will tire him out and he'll want to go to bed earlier.

Currently, we have a bedtime routine that includes a bath, a massage and a nursing session. This is done right around 7. He's usually tired at this time anyways and we've been trying to start this as a habit. However, he treats this as a nap and will wake up around 45 minutes later.

We've tried just getting him to go down around 9:30 or 9:45 to try to ease him earlier but usually, he won't go down for the night until right around 10.

Has anyone dealt with this?
