Rinse with cold water right away and then stain treatment. I forget which one we use, but it's a safer one for babies...great results so far.

I did like @Tinyperson and rinsed with cold water, then treat the stain. I was using Spray n Wash, but it isn't working well now, I've been using Oxy Clean with good luck

I rinse right away and just scrub with my available hand soap. I use warm to hot water though. Can anyone say why cold water might be better? Should I be doing that?

do you have a plastic basin? i swish the bottom in the toilet to get the poo itself off, when you flush, the moving water kinda pulls yuckiness off the item, then throw it in the plastic basin with some oxy clean or your preferred stain cleaner until you throw it in the wash. check it before you put in in the dryer, if the stain is still there- don't dry it! drying will set the stain

Cold water right away, sometimes I'd scrub with this stain soap we have, and whatever stain is left after washing I just would leave in direct sunlight for several hours. while it dries.

Another vote for oxi clean! I rinse, spray with oxi and then throw it in the laundry basket after it dries and just wash it with the rest of her clothes each weekend.

Wash right away with all free clear detergent using hot water, then rinse with cold water. No stains here. It comes off really easy if you rub the fabric together after putting detergent on the stain. Afterwards, I throw it in with the rest of the clothes to wash.

i soak in the bathroom sink with a bit of detergent (and rub the fabric together), then wash as usual.

Take them to the sink and wash in cold water and dawn (seriously it's amazing) and a little bit of laundry soap and then spray shout on them and put in the washing machine- never failed me but I REALLY scrub them in the sink first.

ETA: before I switch the clothes the dryer, I make sure there are no stains on the clothes or I wash them again in the sink, once you put them in the dryer that stain is usually set!

Rinse it out in the sink in the basement and if its really bad, spray with dreft stain remover and let sit for a little then wash.

I need to find out wherever they leave the reactors from nuclear submarines that have gone wrong, so I can put LO's clothes there. Until then: repeated soaks/scrubs with detergent in the bathroom sink, and then into the laundry.

I swear by Borax, it's natural and works wonders!!

I just throw it in the wash right away. No stains.

I sprayed it with the sink sprayer until most of it was out. Then, I spray it with oxi-clean and let it sit. It would almost always come out, but I check it before it gets to the dryer just in case I need to repeat.

We wash them regularly. If they stain I'll put them in the sun to dry. Cleans em right up, chemical free!

@PurpleUnicorn: this is how I deal with it.

I would rinse in the sink, wash in regular detergent and then hang them outside to get bleached by the sun. The sun is a miracle worker on blowout stains or spit up stains.
