I love it, my doctor emails a ton. I find it so much easier than calling, leaving a message with the nurse, then waiting for the Dr. to call back.
But I sometimes feel like I ask questions too much (I think I ask a question once ever 2-3 months....so not too often I guess) and I'm taking up too much of his time!!
How do you contact your doctor?

OB - leave a message with the nurses line...it's a pain the behind.
RE - e-mail him and he answers very quickly. I also call the office when need be.

OB- So annoying: Call, wait on hold for a long time, leave a message (unless it's urgent), wait forever for a call back.
ND- Email usually (may take a day or two for a response), or if I call the receptionist takes a message and makes sure it gets dealt with quickly if needed.

I have to call and speak with the nurses! for both OB and GP. Sometimes Dr will call back personally (mainly just GP).

We have mychart- so I email her with any questions! The way it works is it will always route to her nurses station first, and if they can answer it they will, or else forward it on to her. They're super timely too- even though she's only in clinic three days a week, someone always gets back to me same day.

Call and they leave a message for nurse and the nurse calls you back. If it's after hours, the page the doctor and he call.

I call, and sometimes the nurse answers, and sometimes I have to leave a message. They are usually pretty good about getting back to me quickly.

With my RE I used to email with him or hai nurse. With my midwife I usually just shoot her a text.

With my OB I have to call and leave a message with the nurse (or answering service if it's after hours). But our pediatrician emails and it's so convenient!

Pretty much only e-mail. I appreciate how quickly she always responds.
