I dry in the dryer on low heat. I have a friend that air dries everything so it will hopefully last longer. That seems like a lot more effort!

We hang everything outside - baby clothes, our clothes, sheets, towels etc! We do have a dryer but there's really no need to use it as the clothes dry outside quite quickly. I actually find it relaxing to stand outside taking care of laundry, and it saves loads on our power bills!

In the dryer like the rest of the family's stuff cause I wash everyone's stuff together.

Usually in regular, since I mix it in with all our stuffif it's only baby clothes or if there are special or more delicate things I will do low, but she outgrows her stuff so fast I'm not that concerned about how long it lasts! If it gets through her and possibly the next Lo, if ts even a girl, we win.

Dryer on delicate setting. Air dry things that are hand knit or have embellishments.

I air dry everything (except things like socks, towels, and PJs which I dry on delicate/low)- I find that the clothes last longer and show less wash wear.

@Smurfette: I air dry everything My DH said I wouldn't last doing it, but it's been 6 months and not one article of her clothing has gone in the dryer. I do dry her towels, blankets, burp cloths on low heat in dryer.

I wash everything on cold inside out, hang dry the kids clothes, then I throw them in the dryer on low for 5 minutes to get the crispness away. It is more work, but the clothes last better snd show less wear

Most items we just dry on low in the dryer. But I usually air dry pants (because Xander's tall and I don't want the pants to shrink and be too short) and socks (I'm afraid of my dryer eating them).

Medium dryer level, like everything else. In the summer I air dry when I can. I air dry nearly all of my clothes big her stuff is just cotton and morning fancy so whatever

Dry on medium, except for fleece clothing, sleep sacks or sweaters, which get air dried.

I dry her things on low heat with all of our clothes together. I don't see the need to separate her things.

In the dryer on low except for a few special pieces that I air dry.

I dry some on low/delicate and also air dry a lot. She is on the tall side, so I never want to shrink her pants!

@delight: @pinkcupcake: Similar! And LO is almost 1!
I hang dry almost everything. The few times we've used the dryer by accident, you could definitely see the difference! Fading, shrinking, just overall wear. And we dry everything even for ourselves, inside out, on low or delicate (except towels).

I just throw everything in the dryer and never gave it a second thought.
Now I want a clothesline for the summer.
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
We have a really cool collapsable clothes line, but we don't use it that often because of the humidity in the warmer months. I do try to at least dry the larger stuff outside and then fluff it in the machine.
But my son's stuff is all mixed up in our clothing now. Tumble dry, per the machine's settings.

Dryer on high. They're out of the clothes so fast, I'm not worried about them lasting a long time...

Don't have an LO yet but the only thing I let air dry are my bras. Everything else goes in the dryer on low. Same will apply to baby clothes!
persimmon / 1085 posts
@pui: Same here! Just my bras I keep out of the dryer. Everything else I put in the dryer. I don't have the time, patience to hang things up. I love my dryer way too much. Plus, I don't notice anything not lasting long due to the dryer. And as someone said, kids grow out of their clothes so fast, I doubt it would matter much even if I did.

In the dryer on low/med with the rest of our stuff unless it's something that is not dryer friendly. Now I'm kinda dreaming about a clothes line out back though...supposedly sunlight is a great stain remover.
