Spinoff of the "OMG I'm Old" thread.
The thread made me realize that I have yet to have a moment that makes me feel old. I am still pretty young.
This got me thinking. When you have a "Man, I'm old" moment, what does it feel like? Does it bum you out? Does it make you feel wiser and mature? Does it make you want to press rewind? Do you find it funny?

I turn 30 this week and I waiver between feeling like time is flying and then feeling pretty young. I'm one of the first of my friends to get married and start a family, but then I'm one of the youngest teachers at my work even though I've been there for six years! That said, my students constantly remind me how old I am. I seriously don't get "swag"

I'm not aging! I hang out with youngins like you and HLK to keep me young! 
I still feel young, although it's weird for me to now be 30 instead of 20-something. Those moments I tell people my age now make me feel slightly less young. Not bad or sad, just weird. I was 9 at my mom's 30th birthday and I thought she was so old, so that could be why I feel odd- I always associated it with being old since she was being teased for being "over the hill" at her party.

I still feel really childish and immature so it scares me when I look in the mirror and I see how much I'm ageing! I love it when I have a "Man, I'm old" moment with regard to my attitudes and outlook - it makes me feel wise! - but I'm terrified of my face these days! I really, really don't want to age physically.

It's better than the alternative.
Honestly, it doesn't bother me, because I'm in a much better place than I was when I was younger.

I'm fine with it. I feel like I'm exactly where I wanted to be at this age (29)-- married with a baby and living in a nice house. I've always felt old for my age so I feel like I'm sort of finally catching up in years to my attitude.

I'm odd and actually look forward to aging. DH is 3.5 years older than me, and I always feel like I'm trying to catch up. He just turned 31. I'm still in my late 20's and eagerly await the big 3 0. Definitely not normal. I also don't mind looking older either. Maybe I'll finally stop being carded. Recently the mall stopped carding me. You have to be 18 to shop on weekends after 6 pm. I think the two kids might steer them away from my direction though.

When I was in my 20's, I was very anxious about aging, because I wasn't sure what would happen in my life. I feel like I had a quarter life crisis, honestly.
Then at age 27, things all of a sudden changed. I started a new job, made money, started to travel, began to really feel comfortable in my body. I felt great. It kind of changed my attitude and I realized that with the passing of time, I had more experience, more knowledge, more things to offer.
My 30s have been nothing short of fabulous and I am actually looking forward to my 40s, which will be even more fabulous.

In so many ways, my life started at 31. For the most part, I don't feel (or act!) my age, and until I truly start looking it, I do alright with it. Where I start to struggle is when I realize that being an older FTM means that I will have less time with my LO, and I can't ever imagine missing any part of her life.
And sure, there are moments when I see young girls and I try to remember being that young (because OMG, I never realized how young early 20's really is when I was that age!). . . But really, the only time in my life that I would want to repeat would be meeting my DH to present . . . we had so much fun together and shared so many laughs that remembering the beginning of our relationship makes me feel nostalgic. And I never understood *nostalgia* until just recently.

I'm fine with my age (34), because I'm happy with where I am now. But for SURE I miss my 20's body and face, so If I could keep getting older every year but still look like I'm 20 something, I'd jump right on that.

I don't mind aging. I enjoyed my 20s and have no regrets. I am glad I made the decisions I have made and would not change anything.

getting older didn't bother me until very recently. i mean, i'm not a fan of gray hair or lines under my eyes, but i was okay with them. now i feel pretty anxious about my age.

I have mixed emotions. I'm glad I'm aging because it's a privilege and I get to experience so many opportunities I wouldn't get to unless I was aging, but dying has always been a super scary thing for me. I don't wanna die, even though I know it's inevitable. So I want time to slow down/stand still or rewind a bit.

@looch: I could have written your response! I feel exactly the same. I never thought I'd love my 30s more than my 20s but I have been a happier, healthier person every year since turning 28 or so.

I don't mind aging at all. I think life is much better now in my 30s than my 20s and teen years, by far. I am.much happier and secure with myself these days and I love my little family. The only thing that has started to bother me a little bit is the wrinkles!

I'm enjoying the aging process right now. I'm turning 26 in a few months, and I feel like 30 is this idealistic age that I can't wait to reach. I've always felt a little ahead of my peers; I've been in a relationship for a long time, we own a house, we are planning on starting a family soon. Many of my friends are still binge-drinking and having one night stands. I also look quite a bit younger than my age, so I look forward to reaching a point where I don't get carded every time I buy alcohol (I'm 7 years over the legal drinking age!! Ugh!!).

TBH, I feel slightly panicky. I feel like I'm having a quarter-life crisis right now (I'm 26) so I really appreciate hearing things like what @looch said. I've actually had a lot of people say their thirties were better than their twenties because they felt more secure and knew who they were. I find that really comforting. My biggest issue right now is I'm unhappy in my job, but I'm having trouble finding a new one. I just feel under-challenged and underpaid and I think that's making me feel panicky about getting older and being "trapped" in this job. I'm hoping my thirties are less confusing.

I don't really mind aging bc I had a great time in my 20s...but everything about my 30s have been about a billion times better...so I just look forward to my 40s and beyond. I would just like to age gracefully and not give up on my appearance as I get older...but still appropriately look my age too

I don't mind it. It surprises me sometimes when sonething makes me "feel" old but I don't really feel old at all.

I have no issues with it- I'm just enjoying the ride! My 20's were good, but my 30's are so far beyond what I'd ever hoped for.

I'll admit that gray hairs, fine lines, and a slowing metabolism can be bummers. But my 30s have been so much enjoyable than my 20s! I'm much more secure in everything.

Ahhhhh...I have made it a long way without gray hair. A few years ago I started finding one a year and now three in one day yesterday. I feel ok but so old!!

The best years of my life have been since I've had those one off "omg im old" moments! I've found myself, confidence (inner/outer/spiritual/health/etc.) and true happiness in the last decade plus+, and for that "aging" has been very generous and kind to me!
I chuckle when I do have those moments and laugh it off! I still feel like an 18 yo teenager inside! (minus the job, house, husband, baby, bills, etc. :P)

I don't like the physicaly effects of getting old, and I'm not afraid to admit that in the future I will probably do something about that.
However, I love feeling more content and settled than I have ever felt. I am confident and secure in myself and I feel happier at this age than I did in my 20s.

I always feel old even though I look like I'm still in HS. I work w/ youth at church so they always, always make me feel like a dinosaur!

I only feel "old" when I notice some of the trends high school kids are into and then I'm just like "OMG, so glad I'm not in high school anymore!"
I don't mind aging at all. Life has only gotten better as I've gotten older and I'm looking forward to everything it's going to bring!
Ask me again when I'm 60.
