I'm researching another city right now, and I know nothing about the area or school districts.
Does anyone know if there is some kind of nation-wide website ranking school districts?

I know Business First does one each year for my area. Maybe check to see if they do one for yours since it's not a local publication?
Or US News?

I know Neighborhood Scout ranks the school districts within a certain area, but you have to upgrade to their paid subscription to get more specific information. Most states publish information like test scores, reviews, etc... on their education department websites, and if the school district is large enough, it might have it's own website as well.

Check out the state department of education. Some states rank their districts and even their schools.
If that doesn't turn up anything, there is standard reporting that all schools must to and it is posted on ed.gov. It takes some knowledge to know how to read it all but if you have questions let me know. I do this stuff for a living.

@MrsBrewer: OMG....NOOOOOOOOO....
I do have a cousin who moved to Minneapolis and got married there. We really like it when we traveled for the wedding.

@mrsmenow: I know....DH might have a job opportunity there.....so it might be something I have to look into in the near future. It's not horrible for us either because all of DH's extended family lives on the west side of MN, and then our immediate families are in WI. so we would be right in the middle then.
But.....it's still on the fence....but I would rather be prepared.
I told my husband though I will forever bleed green and gold! (or blue for the Brewers!) I will never convert! hahahah

One helpful resource is also going on the City Data message boards for a particular city, where locals can give you the inside scoop.
