I make them a mix of the two - blackened fish, thinly sliced cabbage, warm tortillas, tomatillo sauce, and a homemade fruit salsa of some sort - usually mango. Squeeze of lime juice to top it off.

Grilled?!?!

We do a panko bread crumbs mixture with a fat white fish (like halibut or Alaskan Whitefish, depends on what's on sale ) and salmon. Fried.
We make a very light "Asian slaw" of cabbage thinly sliced on the mandoline. Just a lime juice, evoo, cilantro garlic salt mixture.

We use thick pitas warmed in the oven.

Yam fries are typically our sides and sometimes I'll throw it in the taco too.

I love love love fish tacos! We make them all the time in the summer.
We use tilipia. I toss it in egg white and jalapeno grapeseed oil. Then I toss it in panko, flour, and some seasoning. I do the same with cut up chunks of jalapenos. Then I fry it.
We use warmed soft tortilla and top with guacamole, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, cilantro, lettuce, and lime wedges. I also top with hot sauce. Num Nummies!

We just pan fry tilapia or mahi or some kind of firm white fish seasoned with a little cajun seasoning or something with lots of paprika and pepper.

Warm corn tortillas. Thinly sliced cabbage.

Creamy avocado/sour cream/cilantro sauce (made in the food processor with avocados, sour cream, cilantro, lime, salt, and a few shots of Tapatio sauce).

Then extra hot sauce to splash on top.

Aw man this sounds delicious. DH doesn't like fish tacos so we never have them at home. If I do, it's as a leftover and it's just tortilla, baked fish, a little cheese, and whatever salsa is in the fridge
