DANIEL TIGER.
That episode where the kids visit a local garden and get to pick their own veggies then try them.
Along with the song from that episode.... I sang it last night and got Chloe to try tomatoes!

I just keep offering cooked and raw. And don't pressure He apparently likes ranch dressing on them to dip

@Mrs. Jump Rope: brilliant!!
We do a lot of green smoothies and mini egg-vegetable bakes. My issue is hiding dairy - both of these work well for that, too.

I just keep trying different ways of preparing them and/or hide them. LO used to eat anything green but now she won't eat leafy greens. She will eat kale if I make kale chips. I make a batch of chicken nuggets and turkey meatballs for her lunches, so I usually chop up spinach or kale into them and that works.

ugh. same issue here. she isn't old enough to understand peer pressure though
honestly, she ate a ton of carrots last night because she had the option of ketchup on her plate. (she didn't dip though! shocked)
tonight, two platefuls of food all over my dining room floor. I'm trying not to stress over it.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: that episode was definitely a hit! "You have to try new food cuz it might taste good!" LO ate cherry tomatoes and bell peppers after watching that episode
@mediagirl: same here - LO used to love all veggies and around 2 became pickier and pickier. I just try new ones - she's into pickles and olives of any kind (black ones and Spanish ones but also will eat kalamata olives). Sometimes we talk about how the bunny eats carrots and she will eat them. I think just keep offering a variety of them bc one day she'll refuse but two weeks later she will eat a good amount.

@Dandelion: hahaha. Yes. That is how Mom got us to eat them when we were kids.

When did she turn into a veggie hater? I'm so scared of this. Vi loves her veggies now but I'm wondering if it's a temporary blessing...

@Arden: very recently - about 22 months. She will still eat them, but only if she is in the mood.
I do try the dipping thing like has been suggested. There is something about dips and toddlers....

We went through (are still going through?) this too. I chalk it up to being 2, do my best to offer them all the time and don't start a fight over it. From what I can tell, one day she LOVES carrots, the next day carrots are "Yucky!".
We also use a lot of hummus to get her to eat things. She loves hummus.
