My LO is crawling now and even though I vacuum daily, she is constantly finding icky little things to put in her mouth. Pine needles, dog hair, etc. We have all hardwoods so I feel like the dirty floor problem is even worse!
Those with crawling babies, how do you stay one step ahead of them? Any tricks to keep the floor clean?

ugh don't have an answer for you there! It's pretty nasty here too. I don't always get to cleaning the floors everyday and there is always crap accumulating!

Ugh, this is always a problem with us since we have two shedding dogs. I got those slippers with the mop bottoms but I don't even use them. Now I just take a wet paper towel and swipe at hair balls when I see them. I also tried to keep the baby within the play area so that I'd have a smaller area to really concentrate on keeping clean.

@mrs. wagon: I have half a mind to put a fence up somewhere and make a designated area for her to play.
We have a Shiba Inu and he basically blows his entire coat....hair situation is BAD over here.

You don't keep up, but at some point they stop putting every piece of dirt in their mouth. My almost 1 year old, just ate a lot of dirt.

Joking aside, I've just given up. He is always covered in dust and dog hair. He'll be walking soon enough, I guess.

Even if I swept every 15 minutes, he would still find a snack. I have just given up at this point. I'm hoping it will help build his immune system
