When she kicks my seat in the car, my frustration level goes from 2-10 in 3 kicks or less. How do you stop it?

I stop their music until they stop kicking. If that's not working, I pull over until they calm their bodies. We scarcely have problems unless they forget now. But if I remind them, they stop immediately.

I read this as how do you keep your formula fed child from kicking your seat? And I thought MINE NEVER KICK MY SEAT. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM? Man, I'm tired.

@twodoghouse: That is how I read it too.
@mediagirl: We are still RF, so no advice on this, but it is something I'm not looking forward to.

@ALV91711: @twodoghouse: me too! I was thinking now we have to distinguish all behaviors based on formula/breast, omg!
LO isn't forward facing yet, so I can't post anything actually helpful...:)

DD is on the other side from me, but I'd probably turn off her music or take away whatever she's playing with until she stopped. This is one of my concerns when we have LO2, because we'll move DD to the drivers side.

@Dandelion: hahahaha. This!
Yeah, she's in the passenger side so I don't feel it. DH complains at her when he's in my car though.

Passenger side in our cars, but my parents have the seat on the drivers side. My mom and dad are a lot better at being calm than I am. We have the same technique for all misbehaving, which is toys go in a box if you don't stop it. I don't know if it is the best solution, but it works.

@Dandelion: @loveisstrange: this was in the passenger side seat. Driving home from Thanksgiving, driving to Target, etc.

Sigh, we deal with this but ONLY when someone is in the seat. She doesn't kick it if it's just a driver and her in the car (she's behind the passenger side.) If she continues to do it with me telling her to stop I take her shoes off, then she can't reach it/not as loud. This makes her mad too because she loves her boots.

I put the car seat in the middle - the kicking drives me bonkers!
