When life starts to become a bit overwhelming and you begin to feel slightly depleted- How do you recharge? How do you re-energize?

I feel like I need at least an hour a day to just "recharge". I usually sit in bed and read. As for re-energizing, a little bit of exercise works! Just a short walk really makes me feel much better.

#1 - Avoid people! I am an introvert so being around people (even if it's good company and for fun) will drain my energy
#2 - Carve out time to do what I like! This has taken some time for me b/c I always feel like I need to be doing something, or completing something. But it's SO liberating when I say no to do something on a Fri night and stay in to wash trash tv all night. Or say it's okay to skip cleaning on a Sat (provided the house is not that bad), and just stroll around shops, or do my nails, or do something that I always wish I had time for!

@pui: I think I need to start carving out recharging time, as well.
I found myself in a place last week where I felt completely and utterly depleted and didn't know what to do about it.

Cleaning/ organizing. If I can wake up in an immaculate house, I feel like a new person

@anyajenkins: So true. I just need to stay on top if it. When I'm drained- I feel like housework is hopeless.
My DH traded in our dyson last week for a Riccar last week. The carpets practically looked new! And that really helped with my mental health.

I need alone time, and lots of it! Whether it's going for a run alone, curling up with a book, listening to music, sitting at a coffee shop, blogging, whatever... I just want quiet time by myself.

My revamp time is a hot bubble bath while watching Parenthood on Netflix of reading a book. 45 minutes of just me time while soaking really helps.

I need alone time. I'll read, watch trashy tv, or go to Starbucks.

I unwind and relax by sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea, light a candle and read a book or magazine- or watch Bravo.

I need time alone or sometimes need some time to just talk with DH. We both like reading. Often cooking or meal prep is relaxing...the clean up part not so much!

Hot bath + trashy novel + big glass of wine, and/or big glass of wine + trashy television show
