Those covers come off right? I would take the cover off and wash the marker out as best as possible and treat the stain with some Oxyclean. Then wash according to the directions. Before drying, check the stain.

We just wash the whole cover periodically. I'd certainly stain treat it, try to get as much out before I threw it into the washer.

@T.H.O.U.: @MamaG: I was hoping to avoid taking the whole thing part, but I guess it makes the most sense to just stain treat and throw the whole thing in the wash. Thanks!

I just take it off, spray it with Shout, wash it on delicate with OxiClean. I think it can go in the dryer - I always put it in the dryer on the lowest setting.
It's a pain to put back on but it is what it is!
