Interviewing/meeting with a potential part time nanny tomorrow. On Fridays, DH works until around 5 and I leave for work at 2. So it's only 3ish hours, but one, our friends and family coverage has been too unreliable and stressful, and two, it will be great to have someone to call on hopefully for other days!
I am actually thinking of asking her for a regular other day of a similar length of time to help out so I can get stuff done! Like appointments, straightening up, organizing, shopping, etc. I think this will also help our 1yo adjust, because he's only really been with us, aside from a few weeks with a friend babysitter (overall not a great experience) and my parents a couple times. So, a few questions...

1. I know there are a million posts on interviewing potential nannies, but anything I absolutely can't forget and might not think of? I already checked a reference.

2. Does this sound like a good plan if it works for her and I like her? Tomorrow, Tuesday, she comes over for a bit to just get to know us, interview, just get a general vibe and introduce her to my son. Then, ask her if she can come one more day either Wed/Thurs, and go on an outing together just like walking to the park or something. I would pay her for her time this day, of course. Then, assuming again all goes well, she will come Friday for her first official day!
