I don't know if my DH has a specific way of saying goodbye to his friends. He usually says "See ya" or "Bye" I think.

@banana: That's awesome. He's too cool for school.
LO only has one friend from her nanny share. They usually high five or hug each other and try to make out.

@pui: I've NEVER heard my husband say "bye" to anyone except to women! He said it sounds weird saying "bye" to his guy buddies. I have no idea why!

he always says "alright man, talk to you (or see you) later." In person there is generally a hand shake.

@mrsjazz: OMG, I thought you were talking about your SO. I was like "he makes out with his friend?" haha! I had to re-read your post to see that you were talking about your LO, not SO!

@Mae: Yes, in person there is generally a handshake/man hug. The one where they pull each other close and do a quick pat in the back.

@mrsjazz: I know your DH and he is always trying to make out with people when he says goodbye

@banana: HAHAHAHA I TOTALLY read your thread WRONG. I read LO and not SO, so it was way cuter the way I read it
Reading is fundamental! Oops!

@Freckles: Glad I wasn't the only one who read that wrong. Now people are going to think my DH tries to make out with his friends.

@Freckles: I want to teach my son to say "laters" on the phone now!! And I must teach him the bro hug!

I dunno!!! I will have to watch next time. Mind, we are not likely to be out with friends at the same time for a good few months (until DD is sleeping through) so don't be surprised if I resurrect this thread next summer!

@Cherrybee: I'm betting it's something like "Ok laters!". haha. I guess we'll see!
papaya / 10570 posts
@banana: It will be such a let down if we wait for 6 months and its just "bye" hahaha!
coconut / 8299 posts
@Cherrybee: As long as he's not making out with his friends, I say you're good!

He says "later dude" or "later bro" with a fisted handshake-type thing or "peace" when he's on the phone - ha!
