My LO doesn't throw food as much anymore but she says "oh no" or "all done" when she sees stuff that she doesn't like.

C is really great about trying everything but if she doesn't like it she will spit it out on her plate or our hands!

She just won't eat it... and then if I let her sit in her highchair with it for too long, she ends up trying to play with it or throw it all on the ground.

he'll take it, taste it, get this nasty/funny look, spit it out, and then shake his head no when we try to feed it to him again!

She'll usually try it (if it's new) and spit it back out if she doesn't like it. But if she doesn't want to eat anything, she'll just repeat "All done" until we take it away.

She throws it on the floor -.- We are working on teaching her to hand it back to us instead. It's slow going...

DD will spit it out in her hand and tell me "don't want it" or "don't like it".

We are just on purees, but R was really funny with green beans. Once it was in her mouth, she shuddered and shook, like saying Nasty Mom! Then wouldn't open her mouth for anymore. Usually she is like a little bird with her mouth open and we can't feed her fast enough.

@Smurfette: my Lo had the same reaction to green bean, sweet pea, and multiple fruit purees!

@MsLipGloss: She ate peas the first time we tried them. Then I bought a different brand and she wouldn't eat them at all. I tried tricking her with sweet potatoes on the spoon too, but she caught on.

@Smurfette: those kids are smart, man...
He used to give looks, but now on fingers foods, he does the toss or the drop. If he's mad, he will toss. If he's just full then he will quietly drop it out of his seat and onto the floor.

She cordons it off in the cupholder part of her tray and says, "Icky! No prefer it," while making a disgusted face. Sometimes she will say it's in quarantine. It's funny enough that I like to give her food she doesn't like.

she drags her hand across the table and wipes it all on the floor. She has also learned to place food directly in the dog's mouth!!

@MamaMoose: ahhh yes, the windshield wiper treatment - effective! My LO uses the *here comes the boom!* method . . . picks up a handful of chicken/ cheese/ [enter food of your choice here] and then throws it down over the side of her highchair with plenty of gusto.

She throws it on the floor. I've had to lock the dog out of the room because she gets so excited to feed it to the dog. Ugh.

Sigh, it ends up on the floor. She'll pick it up as though she's going to put it in her mouth, and then at the last second, deviate off to the side and drop it on the floor. Lately though, if it's not something she recognises (ie if she hasn't had it in the past three days), she refuses to try it and throws it on the floor with purpose.
So, we're currently on a three meal rotation - pasta, butter chicken, and pizza. SIGH........

She will spit it out if she doesn't like it and then tell me "no" if I ask her to try another bite
ETA: and usually she spits it out into her hand and says "share, mama" over and over until I take it from her (with my napkin)...I keep trying to tell her to just put it on her tray or plate but she insists on passing it to me...it's disgusting

Says "done!" or spits it out. He used to throw it on the floor but he's getting better at not doing that these days.
nectarine / 2163 posts
he grabs a handful of it, waits til I'm watching him, then very slowly and dramatically drop it all on the floor. if I dare try and leave the offending food in front of him for too long after that he starts throwing
