I had a few stretch marks after baby 1 but my skin went back to normal for the most part. Not the case after baby 2....my stomach area has a crepey texture, way more stretch marks and the elasticity is gone!

Yea... um. Mine sounds like yours after one baby but I am working on losing still so we'll see!

I was very lucky not to get any stretch marks and at 4 weeks pp the skin is still a little loose, but looks almost back to normal. I just started working out this weekend though so I am hoping as I continue to lose the weight everything will tighten up a little more.

My skin is the same but I need to lose my belly. I probably have a few more side stretch marks as I am prone to those.

Goofy. I have zebra stripes all over and it is kinda crepey now that you mention it. It's feeling less doughy now at 4 mon pp though.

i'm about 1 year out from having my first LO and my stomach skin has not regained all its elasticity. it's loosey, goosey and dimply.

After my first LO, I bounced back really fast with no stretch marks. I'm now 4 weeks PP from baby 2, and while I don't have stretch marks, my skin is still a bit flabby.

@autumnlove: Don't tell me this!! I had no stretch marks and no saggy skin after number 1. I fully expect it better be the same after number 2!!!!

It's so icky and leathery feeling. I use lotion and it doesn't help. It's slowly getting tighter though.

Normal after my first - no stretch marks, etc. I am totally nervous about this for future LOs!

I am 2 weeks pp and am very surprised how quickly my body is bouncing back! I had a c so no exercise for a while, but aside from a small layer of pudge my stomach looks and feels like prepreg - and no stretch marks!

I feel pretty lucky- 6 weeks pp and no stretch marks (except for a few on my boobs) and its pretty much normal except it needs to be toned up again. Reallyyyy hoping its this way after future LOs

almost 18 months post second baby and it's tighter than before, but very saggy, leathery, and stretch mark -y. Sorry for the bleak report but I expected it because my mom was always thin but always had a saggy belly. It's fine with me since I never wear bikinis, and I'm used to regularly wearing shapewear!

@autumnlove: so awful... I totally understand tummy tucks now! I keep stretching the skin downward to see what it would look like... and picturing where my new belly button would go... lol. But I don't think I could ever face going under the knife for a tummy tuck!! I'd rather wear shapewear.

5 months pp with my first and it's pretty close to how it was prepreg (which is to say, not super tight and firm to begin with). My ab muscles are still way weaker, given that I haven't done any exercises for them in a year, but the skin itself is fine. I never got stretch marks on my belly, only my boobs.
My mom had five kids and her belly had the slightly crepey look you mention, plus her belly button kind of looked like a flower.

Even though I know this reality, this is kind of depressing me. After my 1st I got a few light stretch marks around my belly button and the skin definitely lost elasticity. I also didn't do much to fix it. Now I'm pregnant with #2 and totally scared about what it will look like after! I don't think it will be back to what it was even if I worked out.

@Greentea: Right now I am liking a set I got from Costco called Flexees (by Maidenform)... can't find them on amazon but they're similar to these:
I like to keep it simple.. just fits over my underwear, holds in my tummy and muffintop, and doesn't roll down. (usually!! roll down is my biggest problem!) I've had things that have more coverage but I find that the more fabric there is, the less likely I am to wear it. Also, the crotch is all cotton which is great for breathability. Would probably cause some problems with VPL but I don't really care (or wear pants/skirts that would cause VPL).

Sad, stretched out and saggy.
Not gonna lie, DH promised me a mommy makeover (boob job and tummy tuck) as a gift for finishing my bachelors degree, lol

I'm almost 4 weeks pp and the skin looks pretty normal aside from a bunch of stretch marks on my lower belly (under my belly button). I still have some pudge, though.

Same as you - after #1 it went right back - I was in a bikini again the next year!
After number 2 my bikini days are gone! I am slender when wearing clothes but my stomach looks awful when naked!

After number one my belly was 2/3 covered in stretch marks with saggy skin that I doubt will ever go back (my mom and great aunt have the same belly so maybe it's hereditary?). I'm pregnant with #2 now and assume it will just get worse. I don't plan to ever have a tummy tuck and do plan to have more kids so I'm sure it will look a lot worse before everything is said and done.

Yeahhhh. Not pretty, but I'm getting used to it. The skin itself is tight, but I'm covered with stretch marks that still aren't fading, and I have a huuuge pooch. I could care less about my stretch marks, but I'm dying to get my tummy fixed It keeps everything from fitting right, and no amount of working out is going to tighten it up. Not gonna happen though, DH is totally against it.

It's normal except for pudginess. All of you who said yours went to hell with #2 are scaring me!
