With my first, labor started hours after I lost my mucus plug. My second was induced but I lost it the morning of my induction and when I went in they said I was in early labor anyway. I lost it a few days before my third labor.

1 - water broke during night, lost plug next day and then had to be induced.

2 - water broke last night. Been 15 hours and still haven't lost plug no do I feel contractions

they say that subsequent labors go faster, so crossing fingers for you! how exciting. for both my births, labor started within 1 hour of losing the mucus plug. but I've heard of much longer gaps than that. good luck!

I didn't lose any plug until I was in active labor. I'm wondering what will happen with subsequent labors.

2-3 days?

I don't remember seeing it for my first LO, but my water broke about 4 hours after losing it with my 2nd LO.

With my first, my contractions started at the same time that I lost my mucus plug.

With my second, I lost it in pieces from like 38 weeks on but had to be induced at 41+3.

@misolee: For me it was immediate. Noticed the mucus plug around 6 am one morning, was at the hospital around noon that same day. Good luck to you and congratulations!

I lost it in labor with my first.

With my second, I lost it at 41 weeks (the entire plug, and had bloody show) and still managed to make it to an induction at 41+6.

I was already in labor.

I started losing my mucus plug at a Tuesday afternoon OB appointment. My water broke/labor started at 2:30am that Thursday. So, 36 hours or so.

@misolee: I did go in just not immediately because my water broke right as I was falling asleep for the night. But I've been at the hospital now for the past 12 hours. I'm being induced.

Within about 48 hours with DD.

With K I noticed a chunk of it around 38w...not the whole thing though from what I researched.

I had K at 40w2d...(FWIW - I was 3cm at my 38w check and had membrane sweeps at 38, 39 and 40w...)

Lost the vast majority of it at 36+2. Into labor 40+2
