I am 35 weeks and getting excited about my LO's imminent arrival! I am interested in hearing about your first birth: when did baby drop*? When did you go into labor? I have included a poll for you to indicate how long between the two. I tried to cover all of the options!
I'd aso be interested in hearing from those of you who carried low-- was it pretty obvious when baby dropped?

I voted 'As labor began', but really she dropped much later than that. My water broke (labor beginning?), I didn't have contractions until about 12 hours later, she didn't really 'drop' until I pushed her out 6 hours after contractions started. The contractions had to bring her down. She was stuck all up at my ribs!

I voted that baby didn't drop until labor was induced, but actually it was even later than that--she was still pretty high up even after I was at 10cm! I was induced at 37w3d due to low fluid, so I hadn't had a chance to labor down yet.

Well I can't say for certain yet but I voted that baby dropped 3-4 weeks before labor began. I dropped overnight between 37+6-38. I woke up in the morning and was quite certain of it, and it was confirmed by my midwife at my appointment a few days later. I'm now hanging out at 39+3 with no signs of impending labor, so I think it will be at least 3 weeks for me.

Thanks for your responses! My midwife said it is not uncommon for even first-time babies to not drop until labor has begun. I look forward to seeing whether that is true of the HB population!

Baby dropped around 36wks and I was induced at 39wks due to a huge baby hehe. Labor never took off on its own though so who knows how long it could have taken

Baby girl dropped around 37-38 weeks and I went into labor naturally at 40+2.

My baby didn't drop either until probably active labor. I think my kiddo was just so big that he couldn't drop. There was nowhere to go!
