I really don't like R still uses it. Makes me too nervous with her standing up and cruising around the crib in it.

The sleep sack is a blessing. Keeps C at 19 months from being able to hoist his leg and hop out of the crib. He has been cruising/walking in it for a loooooong time, but we will keep it as long as we can/til he is in a big boy bed.

My LO really doesn't stand up a lot in hers. She does when i go to get her out or sometimes she will and jump up and down for a minute but then she lays back down. I think she knows she can't really walk in it. She's 16 months.

@Smurfette: you could get the kind with the feet holes? Early walkers i think they're called

I think we retired the sleep sack when DD was around 1?
DS never slept in one!

@yellowbird: It would be huge on her, I think. She only wears a medium. She is a peanut.
Never mind I just checked online and they have the walkers in medium. I really just want to be done with them so it can be one less thing we have to buy!

I think R only wore them for a few weeks as a transition out of the swaddle(4.5 months?)...one night she spit up on all the clean ones we had so she went without and we didn't have any problem!
Have you tried just going cold turkey?

We love ours! Still using them at 14 months. Fwiw he walks around his crib in his and has no issues!

DD is one and still uses one. I like it knowing it's keeping her warm. She kicks blankets off her!

DS is 19 months and still uses it. He has no problem walking (more like shuffling lol) in it!

DD is 14 months and still uses hers. She tosses and turns too much to keep a blanket on!

I think until like...8 or 9 months? He got too long for them, and it was getting hot out (we were using long-sleeved fleece ones) and D was really adamant about not wanting to get bigger ones. E sleeps fine without them.

We didn't start using a sleep sack until late, maybe 11 months? But DS used one until about 26 months. He was never interested in climbing out of the crib though.

I think we are gonna ditch it when the weather gets nicer. She trips over it. And the two nights we forgot to pack it, she slept totally fine without it

25 months and still using it. It keeps him from climbing out and it keeps him warm. HE jumps, runs, and plays in it with no problems. I am sad that we are close to outgrowing the XL.

@blackbird: I think I am going to try and ditch it this spring too. We tried over Christmas two naps without it and they were short naps so not sure if it was just the day or what.

he used it regularly from 12 weeks til about 10 months?
he never used it for naps, just for nighttime sleep.

Until around 13 months then it got too hot outside for it. And then he was sleeping well and we fell out of the habit. But he's 19.5 months and the second he starts trying to get out of his crib he is going back in it!

I love using our sleep sacks! She's always rolling and moving all around the crib - I can't imagine a blanket ever staying covered over her. I hope she'll be in it for a long time. And I also hope it prevents and ideas of climbing out later.

We ditched the sleep sack in the summer time when LO had just turned 1. I tried to reintroduce it a few months later when it started to get colder and had no luck.

We don't use it for naps anyways! Maybe you can let daycare wean her off it lol

We still use it every day (for night time & naps) and she's 22 months. I'm too scared to give her a blanket!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@blackbird: We had to start using it at day care cause she wouldn't nap otherwise. She still gives them issues with napping every day. She doesn't want to miss anything.
She will be moving to the next room, probably in Feb, so I guess that will get rid of it for naps. They have cots and blankets.
