Nearly 4 years...seemed like forever at the time! When we started dating I was in my first year of college and he was in his junior year of high school...we were babies.

a little over 4 years - felt like an eternity, but we started dating as HS seniors and got engaged as college seniors. I'm not too proud to admit that I cried when his cousin got engaged a few months before us after knowing the girl for barely a year.

2.5 years. We met in Feb 2007 and got engaged in Oct 2009. It seemed like a good amount of time to me at the time. I was going through a lot of life changes during that period (finishing up school, getting a job, getting my first apartment on my own) and I really wanted to establish myself by myself before getting married. I didn't drop hints I was ready for marriage until May/June of 2009 and he proposed in October so it worked out well for me

We dated for 3 years before he popped the question.

2.5 years...getting engaged was so much fun!

5 years before he proposed

We had a bit of whirlwind...he proposed one year to the day of us meeting.

About 9 months - started dating in March 2010 and the church was booked in December 2010. We started talking about it in July.

Met Labor Day 2004, "officially" started dating Labor Day 2005, proposed NYE 2009/2010, married Oct 2010. Sooo....just over 4 years of dating till engagement. We had one short (3 month) breakup in there, too, in 2008.

11 months...we got married 5 months later!

2.5 years, but 2 years of that was long distance. We were legally married 6 weeks after that, but we didn't have the wedding until a year later.

We dated 6 years before he proposed - but we met early in High School ... we will celebrate 20 years together next year.

8 months and then had a year long engagement.

7 months!

We met July 2009...moved in together in November 2009 and engaged May 2010...we held off on wedding planning for about six months to enjoy being engaged and then went guns blazing on wedding planning and got married May 2011. It seems quick now that I type that out!

7 years of dating. We had known each other for 9.

a little over 2 years . . . it would have been longer but when I moved to NYC for DH (1.5yrs in) I told him, don't let me move here and move in with you unless you are serious about getting engaged later this year. we were long-distance until I moved, so that forced the issue a bit.
but it worked out beautifully, we got married 8 months later and now it's been 7 years since we met and almost 2 years as a family of 3

7 years. Married at 8. Together almost 12 now.

We dated for 1.5 years before getting engaged but it was actually our 3rd time dating and we had known each other for 4 years.
