Since BF with my first was so hard and ended at 6w, I didn't put much pressure on myself with baby #2. It hasn't always been easy peasy but has been SO much easier and now we're at 4m so I feel pretty good about making it to 6m. I hadn't given much thought to how long I'll nurse since I had zero expectations for nursing this time around! I guess I'd be fine with nursing until a year, but beyond that...I think I'd want my body back.

With my first I nursed him until 15.5 months, and with baby on the way I would love to make it at least until a year if not longer.

A year minimum. I think I'd be okay going longer if she wants. It's such a comfort thing for her. I worry taking that away before she's ready will upset her.

At least 2 years is the plan. After that until it doesn't work for one or both of us. We only plan on one kid, so less worried about having to deal with nursing while pregnant and tandem nursing.

14 months with dd1, with dd2 we are at 11 weeks and it finally just got really easy in the last week or so. I am aiming for 6 months and will re-assess...i really hate pumping and i go back to work at 4 months.

With LO1, I originally hoped to nurse until 3 months, then 6, then 9, then a year, then until he weaned (which was at 14 months).
With LO2, I'm planning on nursing for a year and then until he weans. Although I will be weaning from the pump after a year and only nursing in the morning (or morning/night), just like I did with Xander.

I breastfed dd1 until 19 months. I plan to go just as long, if not longer with dd2. I'll just be happy to stop pumping in about 6.5 months

12 months with DS. I was so proud of myself because I'm the first to BF in my family. Growing up, I thought FF was the norm. I've heard the horror stories of BF and the ups and downs of it so I prepped myself mentally that it's okay if we don't make it (HB helped me gain confidence I could!).
We started off a little rocky since he was itty bitty so I EP the first 6 weeks. We always tried to nurse, but he wouldn't latch. Miraculously, at 6 weeks, he latched on and nursed like a champ. I was worried about nipple confusion since he was bottle fed for 6 weeks, but it didn't phase him - phew! At that point, I wanted to try to make it to 6 months. At 6 months, we aimed for a year. And we made it!

My goal was 12 months. We introduced WCM at 12 months so that I could stop pumping at work, but I nursed morning/before bed until 14 months.

We are at 20 months, down to only 3x a day. I would like to fully wean soon, but she really loves it and asks for it all the time. I just want my body fully back to myself, but it is nice to use in a pinch!

I had difficulties with producing enough with DS1 so I ended up pumping (and supplementing with formula) until 9 months. From 9-12 months we did formula before switching to cow's milk at 1. With DS2, I thought I'd have the same difficulties but somehow, DS2 was a pro. I weaned at 19 months because I was going out of town on a 4 day trip. It was time but I think DS2 could have continued longer if he was given the chance.
I had only planned on bf-ing for 1 year for each of them. Funny how things work out. The first experience was heartbreaking, the 2nd experience was redeeming.

I wanted to nurse for 2-3 years. I made it to 1 year.
We were only able to exclusively breastfeed until about 3 weeks in. I had chronic low supply (genetic) that couldn't be fixed with herbs. I BF and pumped until 10 months, then put the damn pump away.
Nursed for the last time the morning of her 1st birthday.

We went until 13 months when he self-weaned. I would have kept going for a few more months but he was no longer interested. Plus, I was newly pregnant so I don't know how much longer we could have gone anyway.

So far, 13 weeks! It started off so painful but it's great now, I am so in love with nursing and my 18 lb 3 mo old clearly is as well!! I go back to work in 2 mo so once pumping gets into the mix, it might be a different story! Nervous to see but confident we will make it through, even if he ends up supplemented. I plan to nurse for as long as we both enjoy it, my goal would be 2 years.

I'd like to make it to a year which will be in July. I really am hoping for a weekend away with DH in August or September and if that materializes would probably try to wean before then.
I BF DS for 8 months until I lost my milk supply after becoming pregnant with number 2 at 4 months PP.

With DD1 I nursed/pumped until 11.5 months then only nursed after that until 14.5 months. We dropped to only nursing in the morning at 13 months. I didn't have enough pump supply (went back to office setting when DD1 was 9 months, worked from home prior to that) so we starting mixing in cows milk at 11.5 months until 12.5 months when she fully on cows milk during the day time.
With DD2 I knew I may have supply issues since I would be diving right back into office setting at 3 months, which for some reason stresses me out. Stress = milk plummet. For this reason I built a very generous freezer stash (1/2 a free-standing freezer) and was able to not dip into it until DD2 was 5 months. After that we had to slowly grab from it as my supply went down and, now, at just shy of 9 months my freezer stash is gone. We have been supplementing with formula along with what I am able to pump. I hope to still nurse her for at least morning / night until 1 year. I love nursing her and am somewhat afraid to lose that.

I'm at 8 months now, although I'm basically EP at this point since we do bottles before bed, so he only nurses in the morning. I would like to make it to a year, which I think I could do now based on my freezer stash alone... I haven't decided when to stop pumping.

I only BF DD for about 10 weeks and it was a huge challenge.
With DS we are 4 months in and, after the normal newborn learning curve, it's easy and natural. I hope to keep it up for a year.

My goal was 12 months and to continue past that if he wanted to. Unfortunately I only made it to around 11 months because I got pregnant again and my supply tanked significantly. With LO#2 I will have the same plan and am hoping I get to go longer.

LO isn't here yet but I would like to EBF until the first 6 months (maternity leave) and then transition to morning/afternoon/ night feedings when I go back to work and supplement with pumped BM or formula.
Even though I have a "plan," I am trying to not be tied down to it. Whatever makes both him and me happy/ at peace is what matters, not hitting a goal.

I didn't really have a timeframe in mind but I'm still nursing Miss A once a day and she'll be 2.5 this month (although she only thinks about it if she's home at nap time). I never thought I'd still be nursing at this point or at 40+ weeks pregnant.

I would really like to provide breastmilk (bottle or breast) until 6 months. A year would be best case scenario. Honestly though, I just look forward to every milestone: 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks...then every month after that.

With DD1 I weaned her around 25 months.
With DD2 I plan to go at least to a year and then we'll take it from there. Either she'll self wean or I'll wean when I get pregnant.

My goal was 1 year. We made to 21 months, then I weaned her because I got pregnant and wasn't excited about the idea of tandem nursing. I was ready to stop around 15 months, but she loved nursing.
I hope to make it to at least a year with the next one and then see how it goes after that.

I thought minimum of 6 mo, hoped to make it to a year, and if we were doing okay hoped to just let her self wean. Didn't work out. I bf until 2 mo then EP'd until 4mo then quit.
