C is convinced sleep is the enemy. After he finishes nursing at night and I swaddle him, it's seriously a good hour of rocking, shushing, and swaddling before he will go down. He fights it so hard! How long does it take to get your LO to sleep?

Now, at 13 months she goes right to sleep. But for the first 3-4 months it was hell. At least an hour of bouncing and shushing, and again after every middle of the night feeding. Hang in there, it will get better =)

When he was that old the only way I could get him to sleep was to nurse him to sleep, in our bed. And I could only ease myself out of bed without waking him about half the time. But my babe was a horrible sleeper...and even he eventually got better! (He started falling asleep on his own around 6.5 months...at 11 months he usually rolls around in his crib and chews on his giraffe for 5-10 minutes before falling asleep).

LO takes about 10 min to fall asleep. (Knock on wood) We sleep trained a couple weeks ago at 16 weeks. At that point she was taking two hours of walking/bouncing to put down. We didn't have the energy for it anymore.
I hope things get better for you soon!

He is lucky he's so cute I don't mind it too badly but I would really like both of us to get some sleep soon!

When LO was a newborn it seemed impossible to get him to fall asleep, especially for longer than an hour or two. At two years old he takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours to fall asleep. We're working on his sleep schedule.

As a newborn an hour to two hours. Usually in the middle of the night she just fell asleep nursing. Now it still takes at least an hour.

It seems to take 1-2 hours, sometimes a bit more. Bath, story, nurse, rock, walk, bounce. Sometimes it goes all the way back to nursing again before he is asleep. He is 3.5 months. The first couple months he went to bed earlier and easier.

It took 8 months of nursing to sleep which the process seemed to take a long time, I would nurse from both boobs, then wait 20 minutes or so before putting her in her crib, and throughout this I just held her for naps since I never knew how long her naps would last. At 8 months dd decided she didn't want to nurse to sleep anymore, so from then on I was able to put her in the crib awake, she fusses for about 2 minutes then `falls asleep. I didn't mind waiting the 8 months though since I got the extra cuddles when she was asleep.

My LO is just like yours, and the last few nights it's been closer to 2 hours to fall asleep the first time. It's exhausting!

LO doesn't sleep for more than 3 hours straight at 1 week old. That being said, nights are pretty rough. He'll easily go down to sleep after nursing, but he's up an hour later for a dipe change, then he'll want fed again!

We nurse to sleep and Miss A usually nurses for ten or fifteen minutes, snuggles for five (asleep) and then I transfer her to the cot.

My girl is 2 months and I try to wear her out first. So I nurse, change her and then we do tummy time, look at mobiles and read a book. I then swaddle her and pat her booty and she's out. Sometimes I nurse and play with her for a few minutes before putting her in her swing and within minutes she's out. If all else fails (especially at 3am) I lay her in bed with me and nurse her until she falls asleep.

Now at 8.5 months it's generally 5 minutes...but around your Los age, it could be from 10 min to 1 hour if rocking and walking! Sleep training was a miracle for us (although at your Los age his behavior is totally normal! It just continued like that for us for months).
