Bees, I'm going to go insane. We just got back from a trip to Chattanooga, and H WILL NOT GO TO SLEEP. She fought sleep the entire trip, starting with the first full day there. The night we arrived, she went to sleep at 9:00 (we arrived around 8:30), the night after that she refused to sleep in the crib, and the last night we were there she fought sleep until well after 9:00 and still wouldn't sleep in the crib. We got home last night and she didn't sleep until 10:00.
It's now 8:37 and she's still awake. She has only had one short nap today. Mama is going to lose her mind. How long does it take for babies to reset back to normal sleep patterns?
What I usually do is make sure she has a good nap day even if that means holding her & letting her sleep on the boob for 2 hours. That may be hard to do if she has to go back to school today, though, but maybe being back in her routine could help? Once I know she is not too overtired, we just do our bedtime routine nice & early & she usually will be totally awake (and cranky) and she has to CIO. But after a couple nights it snaps her out of it.
