For people who were away more than. 24 hrs, did you pump and dump? We are going away for around 24 hrs when LO will be 14 weeks and staying in a hotel.. Not sure how to handle logistics of trying to store pumped milk and whatnot.

@JoJoGirl: Can you have the hotel put a mini fridge in the room? If you tell them it is for medicine, they have too. We did this when we went to St Thomas last year since mini fridge's weren't in every room at the Ritz. We just wanted it for drinks.

@JoJoGirl: I was away from my LO when he was 6 months old. I pumped and saved everything in the fridge at the hotel. It was a PITA to get through security with (allow extra time) but it was worth it!

DH and I travelled to look at properties in a new city across the country that we are planning on moving to in the fall. I was a little worried but he was fine and we were fine and it was all good! It was also nice to get some marriage time!

Baby Age: 7 months (she's almost 10 now)
Amount of Time: not quite 24 hours, away for a wedding.
With: Grandma and Grandpa
I can handle an overnight but I think I will struggle with multiples. We will be leaving her for a long weekend after she turns one in October and this is already freaking me out. 1 day I can handle, 3-4 is going to be rough.

Now LO is almost 13 months, and the max time I've been away is 4 days, 3 nights. I've done this twice now for business trips when she was 7 months and 10.5 months, and both times my DH and his mom were watching her.

i recently went for a quick overnight trip for a bridal shower/bachelorette party. i actually moved up the time of my return ticket because i wanted to be back for bedtime.
@JoJoGirl: i stayed at a hotel where i could rent a mini fridge and microwave. i would rinse the pump parts in hot water, then wipe with pacifier wipes, then sterilize in microwave bag. i poured the milk into storage bags, and layered them with ice packs in a cooler bag for the trip home.
