DD2 is 8.5 months and I plan to stop pumping when she turns one. So another 3.5 months!!! Can't wait; definitely my least favorite part of breastfeeding.

Ugh..my LO is only 2 months, so I've probably got 10 more months to go. If I'm lucky though, I'll have enough of a stash to stop earlier and still give him breastmilk until he's 1. Also my least favorite part of breastfeeding.

My lo just turned 1 and I am hooked up to the *@%-! pump right now. Can't really give it up until he outgrows the mspi which I am hoping will be soon!

have never considered this! i BF #1 only for two months before basically giving up but am looking forward to BFing #2 for the first year. i always assumed at that one year mark, i would wean him from the boob. but having stored enough milk to stop early i never considered. what happens if baby won't take anything else after you've run out of what you've stored?

@skipra: oh no! Have you tried offering dairy yet?
@andthewildones: what do you mean? With dd1 my pumping output was nil around 13m so I stopped pumping. I offered cows milk and thank fully no reaction. But we were still breastfeeding 2-3x a day until she was ~25m.

I start pump weaning all but my morning pump this month. Thank God for my freezer stash - I am OVER it.

2.5 weeks until DS2 is 1, so I will stop between now and then! eeeeks! Excited about not pumping, not excited that my baby is growing up so fast. I will still offer to breastfeed though.

@regberadaisy: i guess what i'm concerned about is milk supply going way down after stopping regular pumping.

I pump every night before bed so that R gets a bed time bottle (basically to make sure that I'm not the only one in the world who can put him to bed). I'm over it! He's 5 months old and when he turns 6 months I think we'll just give him a bottle of formula at bed instead

@andthewildones: my body regulated itself to just the nursing sessions.

J is 5.5 months - so 6.5 more months of pumping assuming we make it to a year.

DS is 8.5 months and I've been slowly transitioning to more formula and pump weaning since 6.5 months? I have been able to get away with hand expressing a few ounces this week and I think between that and my very small freezer stash DS should get some BM every day until 9-ish months? Wheeee!

DD is 8 months old so I've got 4 months. I've been so tempted to stop pumping (only pump once a day at work), but I'm determined to make it to 1 year!

DD is 5.5 mos so another 6 months. Tho work is starting to ramp up and it's getting harder & harder to pump! I'm just trying to make it week by week here!

9.5 months- but it's only 2x a day. I may drop it once I can make it to a year with my stash on hand.

@youboots: I sooo want to drop the lunch time pump! But I have no stash.
