We went to dinner last night with my family from out of town and the wait was 90 minutes and it was already 6:30. We decided to stay because the food looked really good and my LO had a nice nap in the afternoon. I'm so glad we waited because the food was amazing!
I think that was the longest I have ever waited for a table?!

It depends on the situation. How hungry is everyone, how imperative is it that we eat the THAT place. We will try to make reservations at places we can, but I think 90 min is about the max I've waited, and that was also for VERY good food, and we could drink and snack at the bar while waiting. If I had a LO it would definitely depend on how long I thought we could get away with it (with them not losing their mind)!!

We waited almost 2 hours the night before mothers days. It was DH's nieces birthday so we couldn't get out of it..... It was also Prom that night. I was pretty peeved but the food was better than expected & P did pretty good... We didn't get home until after 10.
Usually though I won't wait more than 30 minutes!

I HATE waiting for tables. If it's more then 15 minutes I'll go some where else usually!

About 20 minutes is my max, especially when DH is hungry, because he gets really cranky and can frankly be kind of unpleasant. It's not worth waiting for good food if DH is going to be cranky and ruin the night anyways 
If there is a place we really want to eat and we know what night we want to go we will make a reservation.

30 mins if we had our heart set on that restaurant. If we have other options close by we won't wait.

I waited for HOURS to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. And it was not that great.

30-45 minutes with or without LO. And if the wait is longer than 15 ill usually push for a different option.

It depends. There is a breakfast place here called Wild Eggs, and I will wait 90 minutes to eat there. It's that good. Mostly it depends on if my husband's blood sugar level/when he took his shot or if he can sip on a drink while we wait (he's type 1 diabetic).

It depends on the restaurant. A lot of places we like to eat are 1.5 hours away, so we tend to wait longer when we go to them...we could call ahead for reservations at some of the restaurants but between DH's extremely slow moving abilities and no sense of time and the inability to predict traffic we have never done this.
If we are eating somewhere local we don't usually wait real long and go elsewhere.

Generally in that scenario especially on a weekend I will always make reservations!

If its a busy restaurant I try to make reservations!
Without a baby I'd wait an hour. With a baby definitely no more than 30 minutes - and that's if we can wait outside and walk around with him! If we have to wait inside- no more than 15 mins!

Last night we were quoted 25 minutes and it ended up being closer to an hour. DS was getting really restless. There were 8 of us, though, so we had to wait for another large party to finally leave!

Now we try to avoid waits if at all possible but certainly no more than 20 minutes! (girls won't tolerate more than that).

30 minutes for a really great place without Lo. 0 minutes with my LO. No food is worth waiting for with a hangry toddler.
