Not enough...one regular one, several close friends who will do me a favor when needed, and a bevy of girls who will guard the house but haven't really interacted with C - so I don't feel so comfortable leaving him awake with them - I need more of those..

None. We don't really have anyone else watch LO, but when we do it's a family member.

Um...our parents, my sisters, & our daycare lady's daughter are the only ones we've ever used. DH's best friend has watched her, as has my BFF when we went to dinner, but that's it.

None. We have a couple of friends who've done us a favor and family nearby, but I'm having a hard time finding one. I hate the idea of leaving her with someone I randomly find online when she's too little to say if something shady happens, but I don't want to have to impose on family to go out. I've asked around at playgroups, mom groups at church and classes, but no one seems to want to open up their sitters to more competition.

@locavore_mama: That's like us. Do you both mind not going out much?

@Mrs. Pen: the funny thin is that all of my night time people could transition nicely to daytime people. It would just require a bit of introduction time for C and I have been lagging in my follow through to make it happen. He is just slow to warm up to people, so I tread very carefully introducing new sitters - probably too carefully.

A sorority sister from college regularly sits for us. Then family. I would like to find some more non-family sitters....our sitter is moving to Germany in January

@Greentea: I can relate, right now it's 0 for us because the one we trust the most (her Godmother, my cousin) moved away for a job advancement. We have another cousin who could watch my DD but she lives 1 hour away so it's a huge hassle to arrange that.

In the process of hiring two! We had a great one, she was a nurse but went back to work full time and so date nights were too much for her Now we are getting one of his daycare teachers and also there is a girl (19) in our neighborhood who we are meeting with to see of she will be a good fit. I would like to have two so that we have back-up. We don't have any family close by so it's been a few months since we've had date night so fingers crossed these ladies work out - we need an adults only evening!

None - I can't remember the last time I left her with someone else.

One super reliable (former nanny) and one good friend. I have some mom friends I could call in case of emergency. We've actually never left her with family - DH's is four hours away and mine is even farther. Will be happy to leave her with my mom when we go visit this summer.
