Between you and your SO? Do you think you have too many?
I have 3 and DH has 1. Out of my 3, I only use 2. I want to get another one (the Chase Sapphire Preferred) for the bonus points and for the no foreign transaction fee. But I'm not sure if it's a good idea!

I have one. DH has three, a personal one, a business one and the Costco one because we shop there a lot.

Hubs has one. I have 3, but am getting rid of one of them (my Old Navy store card). And I NEVER use the one, but keep it open for circumstances when a place doesn't take Discover.

I have about 6 and DH has 3. I rotate them. One was from when I was 16 and holds the longest history so I don't want to close it out. We pay all our credit cards off each month.

DH has an amex he uses for business expenses. It gets paid off every month.
For family stuff we only use our bank card.

DH has one for work. Then we each have our seperate Visa CC from before we got married. Then we have a Discover jointly.

We each have 1. I also have a care credit account, but I don't count that one because I only used it to pay for LASIK a few years ago.

I have one and DH has two (one of which is our CC for Costco). We pay them off on time so we never pay interest -- mostly just have them for the convenience factor and to cash in on bonus points.

Some of you seem to have 1 each and then a joint one... That's why I'm thinking about getting another one. I already don't use my oldest one, one of them is my Target card, so I really have one official card. I feel like if we get another one, we can just put everything household into that card and personal purchases on our own cards to help me budget. We pay all everything off every month so this wouldn't create any issues.

Well. We each have a bank credit card. Mine is paid off, but his has some emergency purchases when we bought our house (it'll be paid off by the end of the year). We also have a card for a local store that we bought our appliances at - we have 0% until the end of 2015, and it'll be paid off by then.
I have a Target card, Home Depot card, and Kohls card, but they never have a balance. I just use them for the discounts.

We have 1 joint Chase card that we make all of our purchases on for the points and then pay off each month. We each have 1-2 individual cards that we very rarely use but won’t cancel because they establish our long credit histories.
I have a few store cards (Gap, etc.) I really never use unless it’s some super savings for using the store card.

3 for me, 1 for him. I would like to keep them all open, but get smarter about how we use them....like both of us use just 1 and pay it off in full each month, maximizing rewards.

One each. Mine is a store card that we used for one purchase, paid off, haven't touched again (although DH wants to!). His is a mastercard, which he added me to so I guess technically it's now "ours"

None! We use debit for everything. We are about to be down to only our mortgage debt wise and I'd like to keep it that way.

We have 5 open CCs. 3 for stores (one of which I need to close because the store is no longer in my town), 1 joint, and 1 that's been in my name for several years. We only carry a balance on one store card, and that's because it's interest-free.
