I'm going to guess between 20 and 30 total? My family lives 4-5 hours away so we always stay at least a couple nights, and we stay over at other relatives for a night or two when we go. That plus a few actual vacations adds up to my guess.

It was way more when I was working and didn't have a kid. And DH spends more away from home for work and occasionally for a fun trip with friends.

So far this year I've slept 9 nights away from our house. Most of them with DH and my kids. We're going on a family vacay in November and will be away 4 nights.

I voted 8-14. We visit my family 2-3x a year. We've yet to go on a real vacation as a family.

Before kids, I'd probably say around 2 weeks with vacations and what not. After kids, so far, ZERO!

It would normally be 0-7 but last year we went on vacation and I went away for a weekend by myself for a baby shower.

A lot. My family has a house at the coast and we go down there almost every month, usually for at least 4 nights. I don't travel overnight for work.

So I just counted back from April to end of Sept - 6 months and we/I slept away from home at least 29 days. Summer is always busier and we tend do spend a lot of time at my IL's beach house. We also tend to sleep at my parents house if they're going to baby sit for us. So I would say we're on par with 60 days for the year give or take a few. I only do 1 big work conference a year but my husband has a few conferences and training sessions he travels for. most of the time LO is with us wherever we may be.

A decent amount...we have a lake house and go there on the weekends pretty often. Before kids we took vacations quite a bit but it will be a few years before the girls are old enough to make them enjoyable. Luckily, I don't have to travel much for work.

Probably between 30-40. We go away on the weekends often, but it's mainly to family-owned lake, river or beach houses.

Hard to say what's average since my work travel and our vacations both vary a lot from year to year, but probably over 30. A week at Christmas visiting family, a couple vacations, a few weekend trips, and a few work trips.

This is depressing, but not surprising. I'd say about 100 nights. My office is 70 miles away and I have childcare with family on the way to my office, so I end up spending 1-2 nights a week with family closer to my office. My husband travels a bit for work, but not nearly as much as he did when we were younger -- he used to be gone Monday-Thursdays every week. We also travel a lot on the weekends and try to take at least 2 weeks of vacation a year. I'm trying to convince him to move closer to my work and maybe I need to throw these numbers at him to get a better understanding of why the commute stresses me out!

DH spends 3 nights away from home every week for work (so over 150 days a year before even looking at vacations, visiting family, etc).

In the last month, I've had 14 nights away from home (which is higher than normal). I would guess that I average around 40 nights a year away from home.
