I travel a lot for work and for personal commitments because our families live close, but far enough that it's more than a day trip or quick visit. When we leave town, it's usually for at least 2 nights, if not more. I counted it up because I realized life isn't normally like this for everyone and I've spent approximately 60 nights, plus a few I'm probably forgetting about, not sleeping at my own home. This means packing up my 2.5 year old DD too and sometimes DH. (Although he works as a firefighter now so he'll spend the rest of his career not sleeping at home 1/3 of the year!)

At this point, 60 nights is about a quarter of the year! I'll be adding more days onto that number in the next month but hopefully will be home the rest of the year with a newborn and a toddler to care for!

How many nights a year do you spend away from home on average? I'm guessing I'm not normal on this front. (And I wish it was just for pleasure but it rarely is!)
