How many jars (or oz) of baby food does you LO consume a week? How old is he/she?
We're about to start solids soon and I bought an crapload of jars at babies r us because I had a GC and coupons.. Hoping I didn't buy too much..

Depends on the baby.. Mine wasnt a solids/purée fan and only ate 1-2 ounces at each meal.
My niece ate an entire jar at each meal.
They don't expire right away so you should be ok! -
At 4.5 months we started with giving 1oz per day (so half of one of the smaller jars). He slowly started eating a little more each week. Now at 7 months he eats purees twice a day, usually 3oz in the AM and 4oz in the evening. We will probably add in lunch when he turns 8 months.

LO has a ton of baby food too...probably over 100 jars/containers. It lasts a long time, and if she doesn't eat it all, I will donate it. Interested to hear some other answers too!

At around 6 months, LO was eating about 1oz twice a day. He slowly increased to about 3oz three times a day. Now at 9 months, he refuses purées and only eats soft table food.

@Bao: I have 100+ jars and 60 pouches. If she doesn't like the purees I'm thinking of blending them with fruit later and putting the blends in pouches..
@chopsuey119: I'm just worried about her not liking them..
@littlecasita1122: Have you tried any of the meat ones? I'm afraid my LO won't like those.

@LaineysMom: yes, he's tried a chicken with sweet potato, a turkey w/veggies, and last night he had chicken w/brown rice. He's liked everything, but honestly he's a good eater - the only thing he hasn't liked so far is when I made mashed potatoes for him!

DD never really ate purees. She would have a 1/2 jar or so once a day around 7 months. We did the baby led weaning, so she just eats what we're eating now. She'll only eat a puree if it comes in a pouch now.
