Silly question for those of you who have the little green pouch. Can you just put puree ice cubes in it and let it thaw out that way or would that open up the bag and cause a mess? It would also help me monitor how much DD is eating

You can do this, but you can't fit as many cubes in there. You can try defrosting the cubes in ziploc bag first. This is what I do and then I cut a hole on one corner of the ziploc back and squeeze the food out.

This is the worst part about freezing into cubes. Can you freeze right in the little green bags? I know that's expensive I just don't know if they are freezer safe.

They say its freezer safe, but my LO would not eat a full 6oz she is just starting solids so I wouldnt know how much I was putting in the pouch

@bunnylove08: I do freeze in my pouch too. There are markings on the back of the pouch to give you an idea of how much you are putting in. You can also use a tablespoon to measure it in. 1 tablespoon is approx half an oz
