My kids' elementary school has 17-18 kids in each K classroom this year. There is one K teacher per classroom and then there are 4 floaters that go around to the various classrooms each day to provide assistance where needed. It is expected to be the same when DS1 starts K in the fall.

There are 14 in DD's class. 1 main teacher and 1 full time assistant teacher.

We were told there will probably be 18 in the fall. One teacher, one assistant teacher who is there 1 hour/day. This year, her Pre-K class has one teacher and two assistant teachers for 18 kids. I'm a little sad about the change in ratio - DD1 really likes one-on-one attention, and I think I'm going to see a difference in how demanding she is of my individual attention when she gets home.

25 kids. One full time teacher and one foreign language teacher (4 hours per week). They also have a separate music teacher.

They said they cap at 18 for kindergarten. 25 for all other grades.

I think our cap is 22. They'll probably hit it this year because they're taking overflow from another school.

Funny, I literally looked up this info today since the school budget vote is Tuesday. It looks like this coming year's K will have 16 kids per section.

Most of the year they were at 23 but max out at 25. No classroom assistant but they do specials and have others help with testing and assessments.
