How many ounces is your 3m old eating in each bottle? How many bottles a day and at daycare? Is it formula or BM?
DD 2 is starting daycare on Tues and I'm planning to send 3 bottles at 3oz each of BM . With an extra frozen bag just in case.

Xander usually drank between 3.5 and 4.5 oz at 12 weeks before he started daycare and he would have a bottle or nurse every 3 hours (although after his first nursing session of the day, he could go 4 hours before his first bottle at daycare).

I think he took 3.5 oz every 3 hours at that age.

chuck the truck takes 5oz if she even takes a bottle.

Well considering he won't take a bottle we are only going to send one ounce bottles so we don't waste BM

@T.H.O.U.: DD 2 won't either. I'm not sure of daycare would be OK with just heating up an ounce at a time. So I'm prepared to waste some.

@regberadaisy: have you asked them? Ours said that was the best plan so we don't waste milk. I don't have that much of a supply to waste 3 ounces at every feeding!

Omg is my baby a freak of nature?!? He's 11 weeks and taking 5-6oz of formula per bottle. But he only eats every 4 hours. My ped said it was fine but jeeze! Now I'm wondering....

My son is 12 weeks tomorrow and he just finished his 12 week growth spurt so is now taking 5oz every 3 hours, at 6 feedings a day between 730am and 1030pm because he stopped eating during the night. Before this he was eating 4oz every 3 hours except he would feed every 2 hours between 7-11pm (for a total of 7 feedings per day).

My tiny daughter was wolfing down 5 oz of breastmilk every 3 hours at daycare!

@SweetiePie: haha I'm sure he's not! DD 2 hasn't taken a bottle since she was like 2 weeks. So I have no idea how much she takes at a feeding... She is also currently refusing bottles.
