LO is 4 months old and usually only eats around 3 oz per feeding (pumped breastmilk). Every now and then, she'll only take an oz or 2, and occasionally she'll take 4+oz. How much does your baby typically eat per feeding?

I believe the rule of thumb is to divide 25 by the number of feedings your LO has per day and that is about the # of oz they take in each feeding.
My LO is 6 months right now and she's taking about 3.5 oz per feeding. There are some times where she'll eat one ounce, and other times where she'll eat 5...

My LO eats two to three 4 oz. bottles during the day. Sometimes she finishes the entire bottle, sometimes she only finishes half. For the past two weeks she's only been taking 2 of those bottles and will nurse when I get home from work every hour-hour and a half until she falls asleep around 9:30.

Apparently my 7 week old boy is a fatty!
He eats 4oz bottles every 3-4 hrs, I was worried I was over feeding him but our dr assured us it was okay.

My almost 8 week old (adjusted age 2 week old) eats around 3.5 to 4 ozs every 3 hours.

My LO averaged closer to 30 ounces a day (with estimations since I was nursing some of the time and bottles others).

C will be 4 months next Friday... and eats 6oz a bottle. lol. She's a chunker. She has started only eating about 5 bottles a day though. She eats 30-35oz a day. Her last bottle also has 2 tbsp of rice cereal in it for the past week or so.

@zippylef: My daughter is about the same. She currently takes 5-ish oz at each feeding w/ 6 bottles a day. She's going to be 4 months next week, and she probably gets about 30-35 oz each day.

@babyjmama: my almost 7 week old daughter eats basically the same way your son does - 4 oz. every 3 or so hours during the day. The past 1 week, she has been eating 4oz every 3 hours until about 11pm when she usually eats 2oz. (in her sleep), then sleeps until 5am and eats 4 oz. then and every 3 hours again until 11pm.
ETA: whoops, just saw this was filed in breastfeeding. LO eats formula.
